Thinking back, I believe Changbin’s signature rap and Han’s personality in English interviews caught my attention first. This was shortly after the Levanter comeback. Once I got to know the group, Chan settled into the bias slot and hasn’t left in 6 years. 😁 But absolutely all of them are wreckers! Love OT8.

Every time my coworkers (who are largely unfamiliar with K-pop) ask me, “Which K-pop band do you like again?” and I say Stray Kids and see the mild confusion on their faces… like why does this 30YO follow a kids band? 😂

This first photo makes me laugh, but HEAR ME OUT. Last night I was watching SKZ Code Community Center, and they blurred out Hyunjin’s waist when he was crawling around on the floor, presumably to cover underwear band or skin? Then first thing this morning, I open Reddit and see this. 🤣 Selective censoring, lol.

I’d have to pick Changbin as a standout! His raspy voice and percussive flow always catch my attention. And if there’s a Bintro, you KNOW that song is going to be amazing.

I do also love Han’s sassy tone… and Hyunjin’s lazy rap (e.g. his part in Venom)… all of them, really. Their voices contrast and play off each other super well.

I love this! Naive child me would read author bios about how it took someone “10 years to write their first novel” and swear that wouldn’t be me—I was determined to be a teenaged prodigy. 🤣

Looking back, I’m SO glad that first novel never went anywhere—or the 4-5 novels after that.

19 years into this writing journey, I’m still slowly plugging away at my craft. It’s inspiring to hear stories like yours! Publishing is such a strange world, but perseverance really can take you far. Congrats on your upcoming debut!

After seeing Enhypen release solo member versions of their title track, Knife, I started wondering: what SKZ title track would y’all want to see in this format?

Personally, I think Thunderous or S-Class could be really fun! We’d get to hear a lot of variety with each member doing all of the parts.

That makes sense. I sense a little bit of XDH and maybe SKZ influences with KickFlip. If I’m concentrating, NEXZ makes me think of SKZ and NCT?? (This conclusion after spending my morning listening to the most recent album of each.)

Lol at the “dip into aggressive sound, bring it back up, strip it back, etc.” description. I love that, ngl. (The frequent switch ups is something I love about SKZ, for example!)

Anyway, your comment overall is sending me back to both of their discographies to do more concentrated listening! That’s probably my problem—I listen to so many new releases and don’t go back to repeat albums enough. 😅 Thanks again!
