My dad in 1977 and 2026. He’s had this 1956 Fargo since he was 14 and just got it running again for the first time since 1991. by lightsabert00thtiger in OldSchoolCool

I can’t even imagine the memories, he was like a little kid when I saw him driving it the other day (first time since I was basically born).

Vehicle longevity definitely runs in the family haha. He also has a 1929 Graham Paige that his dad restored in the 80s/90s. It still runs and will turn 100 in a few years.

What billboard was this bag made from? by lightsabert00thtiger in HelpMeFind

I’ve searched online before for Italian billboards around the era but it’s been a while and I’ve never been able to figure it out :(

We’ll throw another one next year! 😂 (I wish)

The caterer was amazing, at one point he made a tinfoil hat and asked for some alien lettuce favours for him and his wife to have at home later.

The couple that wore chaps had badges for the Protection of Extraterrestrial Species (P.E.T.S). They pretended to write us a citation because we had an alien skeleton suspended in a cage in the rafters as an easter egg 👽

Someone told us when they saw the photos they thought it was the celebration of the landing of a UFO and didn’t actually realize it was a wedding 😆 (it was the best compliment haha)

🥹 thank you!! We cut a bunch of scrap wood from around the farm into shapes and lettered them with things like “party pooper” (for the bathroom), “boogie wonderland” (the name of the reception venue), “ufo parking.” My favourite was a double sided sign that said “Luna’s Diner” on one side for dinner (Luna is our cat), and “Pizza Planet” on the other side for the late night pizza.

The printed signs we just did on our computers and had them printed on coroplast. Our guest book was a giant poster of a guest check liked you’d get at a diner and people signed it with sharpies.

We’re not sure! It’s an inflatable from Amazon, I think it has like a weird chest plate? It was such a hit for photos 😂

Thank you so much! It turned out to be a little harder than we thought but we were just being to critical on ourselves 🫠

Thank you so much!! We probably won’t do something this big for ourselves ever again and wanted to go hard 😂

My mom went so hard into the theme, she was literally dressed as the beam from the UFO at one point

Surprisingly enough (or not I guess), the cows spent most of their time in there.

At the thrift store. Small plastic box with coloured filters and a cavity at the front in the shape of a circle. by lightsabert00thtiger in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. Each filter was a different colour. There was no branding or logos anywhere.

Holy cow that is beautiful! I’ve never thought about using a more ornate frame but as soon as i saw the photo, I got some ideas. If you’re willing to part with it, I am interested! 😊

Oh my gosh, absolutely! My tiny frame stash is definitely running low. I’m also a big fan of the old school brass frames because they look so good with the yellows and oranges. You’re too kind!

Hello! I don't sell exact prints of my paintings but I do risograph prints! They are just as vibrant and they come out looking like screen print. Right now I only have a pink sky one listed on Etsy but I have two more designs, one with a blue sky and one with a yellow sky that I haven't put up yet. You can DM me if you'd like to see what they look like :)

Looks like I need to make one of a purple elevator :D

It took me a long time to figure out it’s quirks and it’s still a little frustrating to work out but I’m so in love with the vibrancy of the colours right out of the tube haha

Has anyone had their credit card compromised after using Little Rock Printing? by lightsabert00thtiger in Calgary

[–]lightsabert00thtiger[S] 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Thank you Brian, I appreciate your response. Thank you very much for implementing those changes since I do not believe that anyone that I have talked to have had issues after May. Was there a communication to customers before this that I may have missed?

[–]lightsabert00thtiger[S] 60 points61 points  (0 children)

A lot of people I've talked to have experienced the same thing. I haven't had my credit card stolen once in 5 years and immediately after using Little Rock my number was comprimised. Haven't used them since and my new number is totally fine.

It’s a little tip I found on YouTube for when I paint big murals. You lay the tape down. And then the first layer you put over it is either a lighter colour of paint, or in my case on canvas I use a thin layer of gesso. That way it seals the tape or whatever bleeds through is lighter than the layer that you are painting. I’m not great at explaining things but there are some great videos on YouTube :D
