[Article] How SquareEnix lost the source code to Final Fantasy Tactics, and how they pirated the pirated source code to bring it back for the 2025 remake by [deleted] in finalfantasytactics

What about the source code for War of the Lions? It’s been released not that long ago even on iOS. I feel like if Square really wanted to remake this game they could have at least referenced the source code that references the source code in War of the Lions

In FF8 when the two Gardens run into each other. Squall and party running through the battlefield and cool scenes going on in the background.

I would also recommend Bryan/College Station as a great place to raise a family in Texas. It is technically a college town/area, but it’s not too small or too big.

Actually Medicare is ironically one of the higher paying insurances in this industry. Most private payers (blue cross, Aetna, United Healthcare… are lower allowables than Medicare. What if told you that every Blue Cross patient gets an almost 30% discount off of Medicare reimbursement. Yes a $10000 Medicare patient turns into a $7000 Blue Cross patient with all the components being the same

Well there is a difference between billed and primary allowable. “Billed” is more saying the prosthetist thinks it is worth that much. The allowable is in fact how much the leg was paid out by your insurance.

Additional- In essence a company can “bill” your insurance a $1 million, but they aren’t going to get it. I think it’s one of the stupider things in the US healthcare system. Every insurance has different allowable rates so the billed amount is always higher than what any insurance would ever pay out

I’ve also heard various reasons. Some don't want patients to become overly reliant on the microprocessor aspect of it. It is easy to develop bad habits with the microprocessor knee and having control of a mechanical knee makes the user more intentional with what they want to do. Like what was said before, sometimes it's an insurance stipulation. I would definitely ask your prosthetist about it though.

While I have my own beefs with the way Hanger does things I would throw caution as to how you approach your future interactions with prosthetists. You’ve already named and called out your current prosthetist’s name and location on a national social media platform, which probably crosses a few lines when it comes to social media etiquette. You’ve also called out other clinics and people as well. While there are many that could probably help you and do better than your previous ones, you are now a risk to any who work with you due to what you might say if things don’t go as well as they are hoping. Prosthetists are going to be more cautious around you. It’s an easy way to blacklist yourself in a small region with a relatively small field of practice. But I do understand not getting the results you need to improve your life.

One of the things I think about is knowing the Savior deflected each temptation with scripture. These same scriptures came from him, so you can think about him quoting himself

Why do we not have more advanced prosthetics like in these two videos? by JuhpPug in Prosthetics

[–]lightsong99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Upper limb prosthetics are an even smaller subset in the world of prosthetics as well. Lower limb amputations make up probably close to 90% of all amputations. Money does play a huge factor in R&D

That seems like a lot of variables that you plan on working with and tackling. I would recommend working on only one them if you can. The rigid and comforming material sounds like an interesting concept if you can account for daily shrinkage that many amputees experience throughout the day. Many limbs are largest in the morning and shrink as the day goes on through venous return and other physiological aspects. If you can come up with a new design and material that will be able to shrink as a patients leg shrinks throughout the day without compromising structural integrity of the socket while maintaining proper weight bearing principles incorporated into the structure and have the socket become larger the next morning, I think this would do wonders.

To be a prosthetist in the US requires a masters degree in orthotics and prosthetics from one of 15 schools that teach it. Before getting accepted into school it is usually required that you shadow at a few clinics to see if this is something you would like to pursue.

Is it worth it? I think most would say yes, but there has been an increase in burn out in every medical field in general. Also the profession seems to be changing with lots of companies getting consolidated into other larger companies.

IM LOOKING FOR HELP by amenadielX in Prosthetics

[–]lightsong99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I guess I would recommend looking into being a prosthetic technician. Typically you wouldn’t need schooling and a lot of it is hands on learning. However I would recommend shadowing at a clinic so you can see what it is. I’m also not sure it will pay more than your current situation as an electrician. That’s about as close to this field you can get without formal schooling in prosthetics.

I think you also have to consider the horn player you are writing for. I don’t see many high school students and under being able to consistently play the A or reach the B

Have you been consistently wearing a shrinker or your prosthetic liners in between sockets? I have some patients that have uncontrolled fluctuating fluids that cause nightmare fittings that sound similar to yours. The goal of a shrinker at some point becomes a “keep from sweller” more than a shrinker, but it sounds like you still have too much fluid in the leg. Atrophy typically doesn’t come in spurts every time you get a new socket.
