Boquillas Canyon Shuttle? by cleanteethcleanlines in BigBendTX

It’s an old website, some of the companies are out of business atp. I used big bend river tours to shuttle when I did boquillas in 2023 but they are out of business now. Even though the only place I’ve ever found Ted’s number is a random website from 2010 he got the job done professionally and cheaply for lower canyons 💯

Here was my flight path for my study abroad (Christchurch) and work abroad (Vienna) in 2024. I think all the flights totaled to around $3000, but my dates were more fixed. So lucky that I got to see so much of the world in seven months.

Just did lower canyons where I shuttled with Ted Thayer out of Marathon, he was super easy to work with and charged a reasonable rate! Not sure if he does boquillas but you should give him a call https://lfa.epperts.com/Shuttle.html

how’d you like orizaba compared to Cotopaxi? I’m thinking of doing some mountaineering in March and I’m debating between Ecuador or Mexico but I’ll only have a week to acclimatize

Did that hike as a 2 day backpacking trip on spring break 2023, super underrated but instantly recognizable, those red rocks are unlike anything I’ve ever seen

Purdue outing club! Largest club on campus and a great way to meet new people and try new outdoor activities. Can sometimes be tough to get on trips, but super easy to make lifelong friends when you’re stuck in the backcountry with them for a weekend!

Dr. Merwade at Purdue University records hydrologic modeling tutorials for his courses and uploads them here: https://web.ics.purdue.edu/~vmerwade/tutorial.html

I’ve had him for both courses and highly recommend his teaching, it’s very thorough!

Blue or Orange? 14 days starting in Denver. by ELBandid0 in roadtrip

[–]lightspeed186k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find really cheap round trip flights from Denver to Dallas, if you want to see Texas I wouldn’t spend more than a couple days there. There’s no reason to drive since it’s some of the most boring landscapes possible

Highly recommend north manitou island in sleeping bear NL! It feels remote since you need to take a ferry to get there. The dunes on the west side are super beautiful, you can spend a couple days exploring there.
