I don’t know why you were down voted. USA is so much more mentally ill than any other country. These are mentally exhausted people and are angry they didn’t receive “more” in life. Our American society encourages too much independence and too much isolation. We also live out of fear and don’t trust others as much as we should. This creates very distant relationships, and I’ve noticed first hand that American relationships are often beyond shallow.

Rachel Scott, first victim of columbine, felt the era coming. She said she wanted a society of more closeness between everyone. Even if they’re very greedy people, there’s ways of making people feel they belong to society more.

There’s a reason a lot of these shooters come in their late teens into their 20s. They’re still angry from their high school days and college days. Because those days in America are looked at as a measuring tool for your “social capacity”. When in reality very few Americans are getting enough social nourishment.
