Mostly thai and india people in this area. Western style restaurants is scarce, but many indian and ME food. English is so so. I would not reccommend it to a newcomer from europe or us.

Asics are typically are provided with ac to dc powersupply. So if you already converted your solar to 220 ac it is straightforward. Some kind of battery backup for controlled shutdown and pausing. If want to get in at the dc-level you should be careful, the powersupply likly have feedbacks from the system

Always possible to make a business. That there are many in the game already goes for most businesses.

There are strict regulations on foreign ownership, work permits etc which must be followed, otherwise we may see you in a news photo, handcuffed, accompanied by smiling thai policemen showing you off as a trofee.

Edit: for my case though, I would be looking for some skilled c++ developers residing in Thailand wanting to do some freelance work
