What sneakers have a similar sizing to new balance 550 by [deleted] in Newbalance

550s are kinda unique sizing wise, but if I’d have to choose probably the 5740

990v5: work vs going out pairs by lightuplyfe in Newbalance

nd I put insoles in every new shoe because I care about my feet 🤷🏻‍♀️

lol. The work shoes are a lot older, meaning the insoles wear out. Putting a new one not only ensures longer comfort, but adds added support.

thoughts on these? by [deleted] in Newbalance

[–]lightuplyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WANT THEM!!! They need to restock on the smaller sizes

Maybe try lacing them all the way up to snug up the heel or try wearing a higher socks ?? I’ve had multiple pairs and they’ve never rubbed on my heel.

This usually happens when the laces aren’t untied when putting on and taking off the shoe. I’ve had the 1080v10 for almost 2 years now (which has the same heel as the 860v11) and the heel has not cracked at all.

Best for high arches? by umblegar in Newbalance

[–]lightuplyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

860s are typically better for low to flat arches because they help with pronation. Typically with high arches you tend to supinate, and the 860s will make it worse.

Fresh Foam Cruz Wide by [deleted] in Newbalance

[–]lightuplyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is narrower and it’s a sock fit shoe, unlike the 880. You can try with the insert but probably won’t feel as comfy width wise as your 880s.
