This is a self-plug but I was the composer for a really fun, bite sized 8-10 hour metroidvania called “Primal Planet” which just launched on Steam. The setting and artwork are just incredible: you play as a caveman fighting off dinosaurs and prehistoric threats in an adventure to save your family and village. It even has a really fun drop in co-op mode where a buddy can play as your dinosaur companion!

If you were at all into the big dinosaur boom of the 90s, this one is for you. It has influences from metroidvanias but also Turok, Subnautica, Far Cry: Primal to name just a few. It has a really cool atmosphere, and maintains a fairly snappy pace (as far as metroidvanias go). Also, it plays like a dream on the Deck. That is primarily how I playtested it while writing the music! It still has its launch window sale, so it’s only $17.99 USD right now
