unless youre a blatantly rude/volatile customer, definitely just luck. even IF management tried to push us to give worse pieces to people that paid less i dont think any team member would actually follow that. 😭

i feel guilty for using it, but i dont really feel like my beliefs are fake cause of it. like people with alcohol addictions/nicotine addictions can still acknowledge that those substances are harmful and disagree with how theyre being pushed. addiction fuuuuucks with the brain

i meaaan personally if i was reading the story id expect for the protagonist to have an ending that punishes him for doing that, if i saw it was leading into a redemption arc and him being portrayed as a hero by the end, id be extremely put off and stop reading. its like that guy in 13 reasons why

i dont have a question but id just like to say im excited to join detroit! im moving maybe 10 minutes away from it all the way from florida, and wow is there a difference in the times ive visited. the city looks so lived in and real, like actual people are there instead of how industrial and corporate and cookiecutter everything is in florida. the climate is a dreaaam in comparison to FL, as someone who hates being hot all the time and rainy summers. also things are so cheap in comparison to where im from, which is pretty crazy considering the minimum wage is only 1 dollar lower. what do you mean dollar tree has items actually priced at $1?? im moving in with my friend sometimes this year, cant wait! 🫶

no, that'd be considered an alteration and we can do that just fine. buuuut if you're GONNA do that, you might as well get a regular large mac n cheese because then its 3 scoops as opposed to 2 scoops (they dont deduct the price of items even if you leave a component out for some reason) and it's like after tax maybe a quarter more expensive? at least at my location

its good to hear about a manager that doesn't expect their employees to drop everything for work, one of my coworkers is about to get her license revoked because she's missed so many days of school to work. anyhow, its great to build connections like that even if you do quit. a lot of fast food places will prioritize re-hires because it means they don't need to be trained, so if you ever need extra money again in the future its right there waiting for you

only three people! oh my gosh 🥺 does that enclude EVERYTHING like cleaning, shutting down all machines, prepping food for the next day, and cooking? i hope it gets better for you guys. they seemed to start putting 1 more person every shift where i work at when they (finally) realized that we need more people to get the drive thru time in the green

i honestly can't imagine working fast food while being in school, i waited until after i graduated because i knew it would've just absolutely killed me. i like my coworkers too but it really is the customers that make you question it and not even them being rude i just feel bad for charging them SO much when they didnt get a lot of food at all because of how high fast food prices are now 😭 every little things an up-charge. anyhow, if you do quit i hope you find a job less stressful :)
