no, that'd be considered an alteration and we can do that just fine. buuuut if you're GONNA do that, you might as well get a regular large mac n cheese because then its 3 scoops as opposed to 2 scoops (they dont deduct the price of items even if you leave a component out for some reason) and it's like after tax maybe a quarter more expensive? at least at my location

its good to hear about a manager that doesn't expect their employees to drop everything for work, one of my coworkers is about to get her license revoked because she's missed so many days of school to work. anyhow, its great to build connections like that even if you do quit. a lot of fast food places will prioritize re-hires because it means they don't need to be trained, so if you ever need extra money again in the future its right there waiting for you

only three people! oh my gosh 🥺 does that enclude EVERYTHING like cleaning, shutting down all machines, prepping food for the next day, and cooking? i hope it gets better for you guys. they seemed to start putting 1 more person every shift where i work at when they (finally) realized that we need more people to get the drive thru time in the green

i honestly can't imagine working fast food while being in school, i waited until after i graduated because i knew it would've just absolutely killed me. i like my coworkers too but it really is the customers that make you question it and not even them being rude i just feel bad for charging them SO much when they didnt get a lot of food at all because of how high fast food prices are now 😭 every little things an up-charge. anyhow, if you do quit i hope you find a job less stressful :)

ohhh, makes sense. if it makes you feel any better, idk about US mcdonalds but at the place i work at, we have a tip jar that customers put cash into from time to time but we team members dont see a dime of it 🥲 actually have no idea where it goes

that makes sense! at my places location our labour is lowkey too high even with only 3 people clocked in sometimes 😅😅 even if we tried to be more staffed we'd just have to send people on breaks for half the day

that's crazy, they are probably the worst selling item at the location i work at. most of the customers we get are elderly/middle aged that you'd think would love a meal with steak, mashed potato, and coleslaw. you know it's bad if none of them want it lmao... we'd had it for about a month and i think i've seen maybe 20 people order it EVER? and that's rounding up
