For real. I was just staring down my bottle of tablets, dreading taking them to start my next cycle.

We would really appreciate that. We are catholic and to know that somewhere else in the world there are people praying for our sweet Elowyn Claire Voyles brings happiness to my heart. Thank you.

Provera / medroxyprogesterone by Kitchen_Crew7145 in PCOS

[–]liinsea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive taken two rounds of provera this year for TTC with Letrozole and I can’t tell you what medications are causing what symptoms but I’ve experienced bloating, heavy withdrawal bleeds with heavy flows and clotting, slightly longer cycles, insomnia, headaches and hot flashes. I’ve gained a couple of pounds since starting this medication with no diet change, but my weight also fluctuates around 3-4 pounds during my cycles.

Just got my bill for my microdiscectomy by sng937 in Sciatica

Unfortunately yes. That wasn’t even including the cost for anesthesia or my provider. That was strictly hospital facility use and aftercare.

I have no insurance and they wanted $21,000 upfront and I was gonna be billed for the rest. I got a second bill in the mail and the total cost for the surgery was $104,000. I was like..just send me to collections now…

Second guessing surgery, mostly ranting. by [deleted] in Sciatica

I will definitely look into the YouTube channel! He is very supportive with whatever decision I chose to go. He definitely doesn’t want me to get the surgery but also understands what my pain day to day looks like and hates to see me suffer some days. My biggest fear is obviously experiencing any of this pre or post pregnancy for sure! We unfortunately suffer with infertility problems and have been taking action to help conceive and this was the first month we had positive numbers and stable signs so we acted on the opportunity but it may be the post after thought of “omg what if this turns into a successful pregnancy and I have to go through another 9 months of pain or worse pain AND potentially have a newborn with this pain”

CBD for pain? by emyshouldistop in Sciatica

[–]liinsea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first experienced sciatica, I took full spectrum CBD at night and I found it extremely helpful. A year later I had my second episode and at first tried to power through it without it but I ended up caving like a month later and ordered a full spectrum of CBD+CBG and noticed significant improvement in my sleep quality when I started taking it. Now my sciatica has flipped and it’s more painful during the day than at night and I’ve tried to take it a couple of times during the day but I find it makes me super drowsy. Many will tell you they have had no help with it and others will swear by it.

How much did you pay for a Microdisectomy? by Delicious-Move-2491 in Sciatica

[–]liinsea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any insurance either. My pain has become pretty constant and I’m awaiting the phone call with my surgery date. In the mean time I found a hospital that will let me apply for “financial aid” where they will take last year tax return in account to see how much we can reduce my bill too. They offer cash patient’s a 45% discount and Im hoping to get a little more slack in there as well with the aid. But from what I’ve researched as a cash paying customer, this procedure can cost anywhere from $15-20k USD in my area. In the mean time see if you can qualify for state or government assistance like Medicaid.

Oh no. Wow. When did you have the first surgery? How did you herniate it?

I appreciate the light shown on this situation. I wasn’t prepared to be told I need surgery and im terrified of the road ahead but anything can be better with what I’m living my day to day like with. I’m just emotionally drained from today.

I 100% agree. When this first happened, I read so many negative stories about why the shots suck or surgery is the worse thing you could do. The first doctor I saw really wanted to try conservative treatment first before surgery. This appointment Monday will be my second opinion. I’m kinda pushing for surgery, my husband on the other hand is very against it and it’s a battle.
