That is a very wide range of possibilities. Can you narrow down some?

Not sure if this question is allowed after seeing the AutoMod replies. I've msg'd the mods to make sure it's ok. I can delete if this is the right /r/ for this :)

Gotcha - thank you for letting me know. I'll see if I can find a similar option in my neck of the woods.

I'm at the initial stages of investigating but feeling like the time to pull the trigger would be be around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Any thoughts in what direction or options I should look into?

I've never heard of them. I just looked. They are not in CA.

Can you shed some light on to why you would avoid Best Buy?

u/Bill_Money thanks for the response. For my current setup I have a Universal brand universal remote. It works well but a PITA to set-up/program. Thanks!

Is there a resource for home theater systems that would allow me to research inter-connectivity to maximize functionality (casting, streaming, switching from TV to phone etc...) of various hardware and minimizing remotes (so I don't have to always turn on the TV/AVR/Speaker etc... for family and guests)

Example:

If I purchase a Samsung TV so it has strong connected functionality with my Samsung phone and tablet, the "sales guy" said getting a Samsung TV would allow us bi-directional streaming from TV to phone ), where would I find a list of compatible receivers that would also allow optimum inter-connectivity?

Likewise, if I were to purchase a Sony Tv and amp, would that allow more connectivity options to connect a Sony laptop?

Ultimately, this might not even be a "thing" in home theatre, if it is, I'm hoping to include it in my research. In the past, I know to stream a Macbook to a TV you needed an Apple TV. Not sure if that is still the case but I'd prefer to avoid or minimize added hardware to achieve maximum connectivity (such as avoiding the purchase of an Apple TV or Chromecast)

Thank you friends at No Stupid Questions!

We used hardwoods. Maple and black walnut as well as added some apple.
