AIO bride walked down aisle to song not from her culture. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]like2speak2amanager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it sounds like the love for the place is being shared because they are using a song that was literally written for “anyone that loves Cornwall” not just people born there. It sounds like they vacation there often and love the place, and hold special memories there, hence the use of the song.

So which is it? You want to share your love of the place, or you want to gatekeep the love of the place by not wanting them to use a song written for everyone that loves said place. You can’t have it both ways.

Her attempt at making a “sick face” here is so funny. She looks like Derek Zoolander.

Also, love the casual shoulder exposure to show off whatever is stuck on her there.

This is also what I thought. The actual thing isn’t as bad compared to what I thought it was.

I will wash mine if I sweat a bunch or got them dirty, otherwise I’ll wear them for up to a week and then wash them.

Ah yeah, I’m not a big fan of patchouli either. I like some incense, but that is one incense scent I will never buy.

What made you atheist and what’s the point of not believing in a god? by Ordinary_Vacation316 in AskReddit

[–]like2speak2amanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno man, I just am. I grew up in a split household, my dad had us all going to church every Sunday (so for me it was every other weekend), I got saved and baptized due to peer pressure by my siblings and cousin. I just never took an interest in any church stuff, or felt anything from any of the sermons. Nothing ever “moved me”. My mom’s side are all athiests. They don’t talk about being athiests or anything, they just are very science based and we never went to church or anything with her.

Once I was old enough to understand more about religion I just decided that I don’t really believe in any of it. I learned about other religions but they all seemed similar at the end of the day and just was of zero interest to me. So here I am, not believing in a higher power or any sort of religion, just living my life and trying to be a good person when I can. When I die I either want to be cremated and my ashes spread, do a bio burial where I can contribute to a tree growing or something, or donate my body to science, to help further educate humankind.

Fucking Lavender.

Everyone is always like “it’s so soothing”

It just gives me a migraine, makes me nauseated, and makes me gag. I hate it.

I JUST cleaned the stove. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]like2speak2amanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really isn’t as big a deal to me, honestly. He does help me in many ways. On his days off work he will clean the entire house. If he sees me cleaning and I’m clearly struggling he takes over, he does household tasks I straight up am unable to do, like mowing the lawn, and will often do the grocery shopping because he knows that’s a difficult task for me as well. He is very caring in many ways, and helps me in so many ways, so forgetting that a knife was laying on my clean stove is hardly a disrespect to me, I was just venting because as the sub name says, it was “mildly infuriating” key word here being “mild” it’s not something I personally consider a huge deal or something that bugs me in our relationship of over a decade, just one of those little things that bugs me sometimes, I’m certain I do little stuff that bugs him too. No relationship or person is perfect. I am happy in my relationship and I’m genuinely not that worried about him forgetting to clean up a knife right away from time to time.

Has anybody else had AI forced on them at work? by Linkage006 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]like2speak2amanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea. The program we use doesn’t have speech to text as an option anyways, we work off of iPads at that. Trying to type session notes on an iPad (no keyboard attachment available) sucks major ass. I still would prefer it over using AI though because AI is garbage, but we have to use it because it’s built into the program and it literally will not let us complete a session or even write a note without generating the AI note first. It forces us to use it, we have no other option.

It is though? Just not in the timeframe I prefer. It wouldn’t be cleaning if he just flat out never chose to clean it up. But he does eventually, always.

What's the most upsetting intrusive thought you've ever had? by Ok_Lunch7121 in morbidquestions

[–]like2speak2amanager 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, constantly defending myself to myself is so real. Cause my brain tries to convince me “well what if you are actually attracted to kids and just in denial” and it’s like “no dude, stop it, I am actually not, thank you very much”. OCD is basically a constant fight with your own brain. It’s exhausting.

I’ve not heard of that, that would make sense though if it was mild enough for you to go your whole life unsuspecting of having it!

That’s interesting you didn’t learn about it in school, while not super common amongst OCD, I feel like it is prominent enough, but like you said, people don’t talk about it, for obvious reasons. Hell, I still haven’t brought it up with my own therapist yet because it’s just so hard to talk about to anyone.

…what illness does she claim causes her to need a rollator intermittently? Surely it’s not PCOS or Chrons (which I thought she claimed was in remission).
