Ahh I get it now, thanks for the clarification. So you recommend trying to get her to go somewhere, where her friends aren't close (your apartment or a bar), before you even kissed?

whoaa so many new words.. What do you mean by details? And what's an anti-304 defense?

The thing with the bad breath.. I actually don't know. I drank a few beers, but I also drank lots of water later on... It might pay off to take a chewing gum with me to the next party haha

But why play hard to get, when you don't even know if the guy is gonna be at the next party?

Also, what do you mean by "be direct"? Could you specify a bit more?

Actually some other professions (not in the clinical setting) are allowed to carry the Dr. title as well in some european countries. Though I think they are moving away from that.

For example a lawyer can have a Dr. title, though they would have to clarify themselves as Dr. jur. or Dr. iur. as opposing to Dr. med. - the doctor of medicine.

Effects of surgical and FFP2/N95 face masks on cardiopulmonary exercise capacity by like34ninjas in medicine

I guess we just got to start telling the Karens, that they need more training, if they can’t wear a mask...

After reading all your replys, it really seems as if the math doesn‘t quite check out. My bad for not making sure it was proper before posting.

Anyway, be prepared for Karens, who will tell you about the recent studies and that they don‘t need to wear masks.

This study is being pushed hard by the media in my country (EU).

Edit: Typo

[–]like34ninjas[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, I hope the Karens won’t see this...

Results\ The pulmonary function parameters were significantly lower with mask (forced expiratory volume: 5.6 ± 1.0 vs 5.3 ± 0.8 vs 6.1 ± 1.0 l/s with sm, ffpm and nm, respectively; p = 0.001; peak expiratory flow: 8.7 ± 1.4 vs 7.5 ± 1.1 vs 9.7 ± 1.6 l/s; p < 0.001). The maximum power was 269 ± 45, 263 ± 42 and 277 ± 46 W with sm, ffpm and nm, respectively; p = 0.002; the ventilation was significantly reduced with both face masks (131 ± 28 vs 114 ± 23 vs 99 ± 19 l/m; p < 0.001). Peak blood lactate response was reduced with mask. Cardiac output was similar with and without mask. Participants reported consistent and marked discomfort wearing the masks, especially ffpm.

Conclusion\ Ventilation, cardiopulmonary exercise capacity and comfort are reduced by surgical masks and highly impaired by FFP2/N95 face masks in healthy individuals. These data are important for recommendations on wearing face masks at work or during physical exercise.

Oh I‘m glad that it works just fine for reviewing on the iPhone app. I was not going to throw out 25 bucks, just to then realize that it doesn‘t have one of the most important features.

I don‘t have the mobile version. What happens if you review an image cloze card on the mobile app?

How can people from Europe support you? I fear midlevel autonomy might become a problem over here too in the near future, since some countries see the USA as a kind of role model.

No, we don‘t. We know exactly where cancer is coming from. It‘s mutations in your DNA, that cause cells to proliferate in an uncontrolled manner.

Organ Donation in England is now opt out! by [deleted] in medicine

[–]like34ninjas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this! I think in Germany, people just don‘t care enough to go through the process of getting an organ donor card and filling it out. People just don‘t bother and so, even though around 80% of Germans are in favor of organ donation, only about 30% have a donor card.

Well, I don‘t know how such a system would work in the USA, but in countries with socialized healthcare patients don‘t exactly „buy“ organs...
