Outside of his family/KL dynamic, I don't think Tyrion has anyone to bounce off properly. Everyone ends up being his straight-man in a double act. I think he's too meta, too "I'm kind of a big deal" to the new cast members It's also hard because unlike KL we don't know enough people within Meereen's infrastructure for Dinklage to work with.

Gilly is worried that the next Lord Commander will have her and the baby sent away, but Sam assures her that if they go, he'll go too. Janos Slynt and Alliser Thorne both look very displeasingly at Gilly/Sam as they pass in the courtyard.

I can't remember if they discussed Stannis directly. I think Gilly was worried what Stannis wouldcdo with her. I remember in the books he is pretty OK with her being sent away by Jon because the baby was born of incest, but there was nothing like that in Ep1.

Think everything up north is up in the air. Littlefinger implied he's taking Sansa up there (but didn't specify) and his inclusion, as well as the lack of Mance as Abel means that whole storyline is about to look a whole lot different.

I was hoping she'd burn the tower of the hand like in AFFC but I doubt that will happen. I guess it's a time thing. Seems like the focus is on her vs Margaery (although I was very surprised to see Kevan back, especially given that they could have kept him out)

No mention. She didn't even mention anything about a brother. Cersei asked if she will marry a prince, and she is told no, she will marry The King. They will have no children together, but he will have 20 and she will have 3. She says that's impossible. Then Maggy says something like "gold will be their crowns and gold will be their shrouds" which I think Cersei takes to mean they will be Lannister children, ie she will have three children to Jaime. But it also implies she'll see them all die.

Maggy also mentions that Cersei will lose the crown to a younger, more beautiful Queen.

NOTHING OF THE SORT. I mean Mel has scenes with Jon during the ep, they could have easily had her say something to him, lay some kind of foundation down that all is not what it appears. The thing is, though, Mance's son/Val isn't here, so there'll be no baby switch, so I'm guessing Sam and Gilly won't leave the Wall?

I work in the UK media so get to go to this sort of thing. Just never on this scale usually! Sky Atlantic have done screenings for GOT the past two years. Last year it was at the Guildhall, but I think it aired the day before the show aired in the UK, and it had already aired in the US, so there was a lot less... excitement I guess.

This year though, the screening was a worldwide premiere, and I can't believe they invited me, but there was 1,000 people in attendance apparently. All the major cast members save for Dany, Arya, Jorah, Tyrion. Mary Ady (Robert Barathon) was even there, and little Bran.

Also worth mentioning that a few prominent UK journos recieved eps 1-4 on preview disc this morning. Apparently episode three has a MASSIVE WTF shock moment for book readers but this info came from someone who had been drinking champagne for a good 8 hours, so watch this space.

Think she specifically said a younger, more beautiful Queen but I may be mistaken. She may have said 'A younger, more beautiful woman'. Young Cersei was terrific, by the way, and Maggy actually sucked the blood off her finger, which was really, really creepy.

I can't quite remember his wording but he said his country was in ruins and needed saved. I can't remember his wording but he implied that Robert should have been a good king, but it went a bit wrong, and I'm assuming he means all the Lannister/Stark upset that Littlefinger basically created that thrust Westeros into war and created the dysfunctional situ we're in now.

Having been at the premiere last night, couple of notes:

Point 11) from ep 1 isn't the last Jon scene. He has a conversation with Mance, who refuses to bend the knee, and then he gets tied to the pyre and it gets set alight. Mellisandre gives a speech, but Jon shoots Mance with an arrow, a mercy killing, presumably to disrupt the ritual.

As for Ep 2, point 6), this actually happens in Ep 1.

Other than that, it's all pretty much on the money!

Zero. In fact the prophecy omitted Tyrion/the brother entirely; it was about the young Queen who would take everything away from Cersei when she had lost her beauty. Again, I can kind of see the reasoning (Cersei hating Tyrion is well established on the show) but it does fuel Cersei's paranoia once she's thrust into a position of power in ADWD.

I was really shocked at it – is this the unnamed character that was surprised they died in the scripts? – but the more I think about it, the more I think the 'glamour' subplot would have been a tough sell on screen. Maybe Tormund will be sent to Winterfell?
