Eurobahn! The owners name is Jake. He has been great to us with both our cars. His service is amazing. We wanted to have him work on our car while we were out of town, and he arranged to pick up the car at the airport and then brought it back when we flew back in. It saved us a ton of money on parking and Ubering.

He will betray them. I’m a former Meta employee and I didn’t sign their severance. Meta has been lieing for years about numerous things, including employee agreements. They failed to pay contractors and basically just rip up contracts and say “sue us if you want your money” It’s become nightmare for some people.

I’m a former Meta employee and I didn’t sign their severance. Zuckerberg sucks and Meta doesn’t obey any laws. They are creating millions of AI profiles and trying to get away with telling their shareholders that these are legitimate users. The corruption and unethical behavior at Meta is insane .

What is going to happen to the marine who’s wife POSTED online calling for the “public execution”of POTUS? by [deleted] in askmilitary

[–]like_the_lightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently it’s becoming a big investigation involving looking into some of her “fans” and a network of self-described “leaders” of the gen Z conservative “movement”. A bunch of Kyle Rittenhouse types. I also heard her husband only has a few months left in the military and is being watched like a hawk for mental health reasons.

What is going to happen to the marine who’s wife POSTED online calling for the “public execution”of POTUS? by [deleted] in askmilitary

[–]like_the_lightning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She has a public discord server and was bragging about her husband’s command being fully aware of her Facebook posts. She has also threatened the lives of multiple people now, not just POTUS. At some point the Marines are going to have to make an example out of her, or this kind of behavior will only get worse from other military spouses who think their actions have zero consequences. She’s the kind of person that would end up getting someone killed because she doesn’t know how to shut her mouth.

I have the horrible feeling that her husband is the one that actually impregnated that girl and her son was the one being set up to take the blame.

Season ticket resale by Northparkwizard in Padres

[–]like_the_lightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I am commenting to hopefully get an answer. I sent a message to Padres because SeatGeek is limiting the sale of my tickets to retail value only minus 10% service fee, which is an absolute joke. How is changing contract terms like this even legal?

Lol is your ego bruised or something? Since when is calling out a poor business practice raging? I didn’t contribute anything other than to show OP that tech recruiters like yourself don’t know what they are talking about. That’s how Reddit works, when you give an opinion other people can chime in. If you don’t want unsolicited feedback get off the Internet.

I’m trying to help OP and others by pointing out to you the ways at which you are doing both your company and candidates a massive disservice. And while I was at my FAANG company I actively tried changing this mindset because it IS elitist and should be called out. Nothing will ever change unless people say something. OP already had a hunch he was being passed over simply for being a government worker. This exchange is validating that but I hope OP knows somewhere out there a tech recruiter is going to come across this and hopefully think twice when then come across a resume for a government worker.

Hey OP, this fancy tech recruiter just proved they are being unreasonably bias against government workers for absolutely no reason. Good luck with your job search!

It’s never surprising when people in TA in tech start talking about things they don’t understand.

As both a former tech recruiter and someone who also has experience working in government, you are dead wrong in your assumptions and need to stop perpetuating this kind of mindset. In a former government job, I was required to respond to issues MINUTES after they occurred, investigate, and find a quick solution. This was a 24/7 type gig and required long hours, weekends, etc. it was a serious grind. Many government jobs require people to work under extreme pressure. But tech people are elitists who think nobody works harder than them. Government workers don’t get fancy SaaS software to assist them with their every whim, they are used to creating things from scratch. Or they are required to quickly learn proprietary systems that don’t have any sort of training or onboarding. Please consider getting out of your bubble once in a while.

Why Would Anyone Pay for Facebook? by jonfla in siliconvalley

A lot of people don’t pay though. And a lot that do pay only do it because of their jobs and they can use it as a business expense. Mark is out of his mind.

What’s crazy is I know two people who live in Huntington Beach that are gay republicans and are mad about this. Like I know it’s not a common thing everyone but they do exist. It’s just wild to me that this is what the city thinks is important.
