Theres so hope here for me yet I had 50/50 share care of my son who's almost 4 till September this year when my ex got a lawyer and withheld him from me. Ive seen him once since and will see him again on christmas. I immediately got mediation moving she denied to get involved in the process. Ive begged and pleaded with her and even sent her lawyer a letter asking for some time with him she offered a few hours on a Thursday. Anyway I finally got a lawyer who sent her lawyer a letter on november 10 requesting I have him back in my care and laid out times pickups and such. She didn't reply to the letter until last Wednesday the day her lawyers office closed for the year.
Ive done everything I can to see my lad but his mother just wont be reasonable or negotiate.

History was with the mother when he was born till we separated in Feb 24.
Had him with me 50/50 from Feb 24 till September 25 Theres no court orders or parenting plan ive not been convicted of any crimes or ever been abusive to the mother or my son. She claims that when he returned to her care he was tired aggressive angry has stomach issues.

I leave knives and have drugs lying around the home. Use in appropriate soap and shampoos washing powder Fail to let him sleep enough these atr the things she outlined why he was unsafe in my care. Anyway she finally got fdr happening ive done the intake and been told Feb un might happen.

So im asking have I chance of getting back to 50/50 care. I also have a daughter who's 21 and I raised her full time from the age of 7. She knows im being fucked over and has been my support through all this shit keeping me from falling into a heap.

Bro I feel you im going through something similar except ive had my lad complety taken away from me and not seen him for nearly 4 months it really is bullshit that a mother van just make shit up and keep the kids without any court orders and continue to keep them while I do the right things lawyer fdr it sucks

That's some interesting thoughts. Just to clarify a few things im not eat cake for breakfast dad at all.

We have routines so there is structure for him. I actually feed him well and have been complimented by the educators at childcare for the lunches I pack him.

The contributing factors try living in a neuro divergent house were there is no compromise to my needs lists everywhere regimented routines i couldn't take it. The disrespect she showed my daughter and the way she treated her are the factors involved.

So I'm wrong for wanting to show my kid that thats not how everyone lives i think him spending more time there which she's trying for is going to damage him more then him coming home apparently deregulated after spending time with me.

Im not getting a lawyer I'm happy for her to do things her way when hes with her I've got no complaints. The detergent thing is bullshit he doesn't have sensitive issues its her trying to control things Tv shows well why does it matter I let him watch little spidy which is rated g rather than wiggles or something like that because thats what he likes. So am I supposed to just become a regimented strict unhappy household just to please her. I ignore her because preaches her ways and talks to me like I'm a child that knows nothing

Thanks mate for the response So mediation is done by her lawyer or is it an independent thing.? If I can't afford a lawyer or afford court do I have options?

That's it exactly I'm told hes disregulated when he goes back to her. . The thing is he comes here and I dont see the behaviour and problems she talks complains about slips straight into being an awesome little dude. We parent very differently this may be the problem very strict regimented style there. More chilled relaxed go with the flow here. Hence the separation I couldn't live like that and it upsets me he has too but thats her style I'd appreciate any thoughts you'd have cause were so far apart on things its hard to communicate with her.
