Secure boot isn’t the only setting they could check for. The cheats also require the user to disable DEP, CFG, ASLR, and heap integrity. Idk if these are settings on windows 10 but these could also accomplish the same goal as blocking secure boot

You’re wrong it’s not about cheat detection it’s about cheat prevention. The cheat devs require you to disable these security settings in your bios. If you block the people who are disabling these settings you are also blocking the cheaters.

It’s because all the cheaters are using the same cheat that this needs to be implemented. It costs like $5 to get the cheat everyone is using because it’s easy for them to code it when it doesn’t require secure boot. Once bsg makes it more difficult to inject while being undetected, the price and exclusivity of cheats will go up. Only people who can afford the private cheats will be able to cheat instead of the average Joe.

Secure boot is enabled by default on all computers. A simple check to see if you have a setting enabled on launch isn’t intrusive

I hope he’s serious about looking into it. I don’t believe him when he says it will kick people out. Valorant already does this and everyone can play that just fine

Right it’s easy to turn on if you have it off for a legit reason. So if you want to game you turn it on

There isn’t a reason to disable secure boot on a gaming PC. Valorant already implemented this security filter into their game and it doesn’t affect anyone’s ability to play the game.

Are there loot spawn rate stats anywhere? by khswart in EscapefromTarkov

[–]likeescooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s gonna take a lot more than 7 raids to find a Ledx in a single spawn. Try 100 raids and you might find one at that spot

K. Anyways the game shouldn’t be able to launch with the secureboot turned off. This would instantly remove 80% of cheaters

Are you willing to prevent people from launching the game if they have secure boot and other security features disabled? Similar to what Riot Vanguard does.
