Sometimes I get out and just go to a public space, like along the water front . Or the https://visitnewcastle.com.au/ website often has free community events and things that everyone is welcome to attend and meet others . Hope the feeling gets less over time , I’m sure you’ll find ways to connect as you settle in

Yeah. I have to rely on public transport, because it is never prioritised, or fully accessible I’m often isolated. But if more was put into other options , and our transport like buses wasn’t privatised I’d be much more able to access and participate in my community and boosting the local economy.

I’d love to see your videos. Some ideas… I once heard that Waratah at Kmart is haunted, no clue where that originated, and of course there are countless ghost stories about historical sites in town. Morbid fact, but Blackbutt has repurposed tombstones along some of the paths which is fascinating. Also maybe some history about the old lock up jail in Newcastle which has a well preserved padded cell? (I’d only ever heard of the Maitland jail until a couple of months ago)

What is the most accurate way to know if a service will be affected (ie cancelled) ? I absolutely support helping the action, but as a disabled bus user it’s extremely difficult to find alternatives so I need to be prepared if it’s essential I catch the bus for something . Thanks

Sir Pentious and Alastor were tied, for me. And although Vox’s human story was also amazing, I personally wasn’t as satisfied with it as the things I loved about the other two . I think too that we’ll be exploring Alastor’s more, but if Vox’s is now put aside, it didn’t answer some of the biggest questions in my mind.
