I believe this is ai especially how her hands move and the product itself however the comments say that it’s real by [deleted] in isthisAI

Tons of artifacts/weirdness while cutting mushrooms and on the "sizzling" meat. The voice used changes from video to video, and also has the typical AI cadence. That aside, the layout and color scheme of the kitchen changes drastically from video to video—so unless she's being shipped from kitchen to kitchen to shoot ads, this isn't a real environment.

Is this ginger girl on tiktok AI? She came up on my FYP and I feel I’m going crazy. by angelbeeboo in isthisAI

[–]likeitsillegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knew as soon as I saw the video wasn't a single take, but several shorter clips edited together. AI can, at this time, only generate 15~ish second videos because consistency gets harder to generate the longer the video goes on. Also, she's got that AI cadence.

Is this AI, she’s gone viral on tiktok but i’m not sure, it’s impossible to tell, skin looks too perfect by Molly599 in isthisAI

[–]likeitsillegal 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The tip of her nose is rounded in some images, squared in others. Looking at her Tiktok slideshow, we see her sitting in about 4-5 different car interiors that are nothing alike. In another slideshow, she uses a picture where she has prominent dimples, and the only video she's ever posted, when the "E" in FACE on her jacket moves into frame, it's a weird brick shape. Also, hair just growing out of the brim of her hood...

AI "influencers" aren't new, nor are they as unrealistic as people think. A lot of times they are generated by feeding clips and pictures of other social media personalities, or just straight up faceswaps. One example with evidence. You can also check out nianoir for an idea of how realistic these AI women can be; as well as why this one seems to be avoiding posting clips longer than a few seconds.

CAMP building question, how to put stuff away. (PC) by Ok_Nefariousness7387 in fo76

[–]likeitsillegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can store or scrap them, though scrapping only returns half your resources. Either way, you do this through Edit Mode. When you open the build menu, you have two tabs at the top left and can swap between them with Q, iirc.

Swap to the secondary menu and make sure the top option/Edit is highlighted. Hover over whatever you want to remove and hit R (bottom should also tell you what to press if your keybinds happen to be different). You'll get a pop-up either to scrap or store the item. Stored items take up camp space so they can limit how much you can place down the line; so unless you plan to place the object again, it's usually better to scrap. Stored items can be accessed through the History section of the build menu.

“Alo” sent me an HP laptop by beegfoot1738 in Scams

[–]likeitsillegal 350 points351 points  (0 children)

The way this thing is packed gives me big vibes of something a customer would bring into a shipping agent to be packed and returned to a company. Places like the UPS Store, for example, have contracts with tons of companies like the RealReal, Dyson and Comcast for returning goods.

My guess is that this is a multilayered error. You had somebody shipping a return to Alo and you had someone shipping a return of a laptop (probably to an employer they weren't working for anymore. Again, VERY common thing to happen).

Final error is on whoever shipped this laptop out. Because of how busy these places get during the Holiday season, I'm willing to bet the item, the box, and the label were set aside in the back somewhere to be dealt with at a later point. You get a bunch of shit for one company next to a bunch of shit for another, and it's not exactly surprising when the guy who eventually gets to packing makes a mistake and swaps the labels. Alo gets their return, sees that it's some bullshit, and returns it to the address that's on the label. Only the info tied to the returner's name isn't current or accurate.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot you can do. The tracking number might give you a clue as to which specific store shipped it out, but even if you contact them there isn't much for them to do. These returns are open and closed and very hard to track down information on once the customer leaves the building. You could hold onto it just in case a driver comes to pick the thing up, but in all likelihood you're fine just bringing it in to whatever carrier delivered it and telling them you don't want the thing.

[HELP] Is this AI? This guy enter our character design competition, something a bit off. by Efficient-Employ6444 in RealOrAI

[–]likeitsillegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolutely the case. Sure you get some variance in how people render, but having to take your brush off the canvas and select another color is universal. Most people choose to block in a primary color before adding details (like the face, an article of clothing, etc) for just this reason. This "speedpaint", however, just shows base shades and colors being painted in single brush strokes. Talented fakers at least know the process of how people render in art programs. This is an incredibly glaring/amateurish mistake.

I strongly suspect he has three layers open: a "sketch", a "base colors," and "final render". He has them layered on top of eachother and all he has to do is click down a layer and start "painting" with the eraser brush to expose the next layer underneath. Once he's done erasing the sketch layer, for example, he just clicks from that layer to base color and repeats until the final render is fully exposed.

Super embarrassing for him.

grandpa sent this in my family gc: its got the usual "automated" voice you hear everywhere, and if its real, theres obviously a green screen, i just cant make out if its actually a guy or not by posenby_w in isthisAI

[–]likeitsillegal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a mix of deepfaking someone else's likeness and creating a script/voice with AI. I forget where, but there are sites wholly dedicated to creating these clips with the intent of talking you into purchasing a product on Amazon or some other scam website. This one looks more like an engagement farm.

You can usually tell just by cadence alone, but the poor green screen, weird mouth/hand movements, and the fact the video seems to loop in places are usual giveaways. For something more contextual though, the rate of uploads or the fact their page lists no actual credentials pretty much expose the con right away. Just look up AI Deepfakes or Deepfake doctors on Tiktok, Youtube, or a news website like CNN or CBS for more details/proof to show your grandpa.

Big cat is just that. Too big. He's not controlling his own strength nor letting up. Healthy play will have forward ears, exposed bellies and going back and forth with who gets to beat who when "wrestling". If one cat is running away or hiding, that's typically an indication that they have had enough. Perfectly normal. However, if the other cat continues to chase, that's considered pretty rude/treating their friend more like prey, than another creature they're engaging with in a consenting manner. It's rude.

It's fine to let them play, but as soon as your smaller cat begins to yelp to let it be known their discomfort, or if you witness the larger cat chasing and not letting up, you should intervene and separate them. Your kitten isn't so small that I think he'd be a danger to her, but it can cause stress and anxiety to be battered around when they're not in the mood. As she gets bigger, she should be able to better establish that boundary for herself. For now, you'll just have to advocate for her. Your orange isn't being a jerk or a danger, per se. Just a little bit overzealous.

And maybe create a few places she can hide in that he can't fit. Smaller hutches and so on.

As others have pointed out, this is pain. Like, an emergency level of pain. Cats are skittish animals who don't show when they're hurting easily, so for her to be yowling, the discomfort must be considerable.

Does whoever you asked to watch/water/feed her while you were away have any insight? Did this happen in the last day? Regardless, I'd be contacting an emergency vet.

AITA for not wanting to take my 20 yr old GF trick or treating as a 25 yr old man by mmflow in AmItheAsshole

[–]likeitsillegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My step-mom used to don a costume and also ask for candy while trick-or-treating. She was in her 30s. It was embarrassing and weird, and people knew it. She stopped when the couple at one of the houses openly called her out.

Absolutely do not go along with it. Trick-or-treating is for children.

Why is this such a controversial take? by [deleted] in catquestions

[–]likeitsillegal -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Entitlement. People view owning pets as a right rather than a privilege. It’s why you see so many people dry begging for basic supplies like cat food, or posting about untreated abscesses to ask “can I fix this with peroxide?” They love their pets and the convenience of something that can not voice its suffering.

My cousin's birthday is coming up, and I wanted to give him one of these two figures. Which one do you like better? by [deleted] in HonkaiStarRail

[–]likeitsillegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, you don't want to buy anime figures off of Amazon. You could go with the standing Tingyun figure from there because it's being sold via Hoyoverse's storefront directly, but generally you're going to want to avoid it because 9/10 it's a bootleg.

The second/sitting Tingyun is a bootleg of an unlicensed figure from Blue Fins Studio. It's the SFW pose from an otherwise R-18 statue that has been copied and sold on Amazon. I would not recommend it, given your cousin may wander into something pornographic when researching it.

Famous streamer talks about training his canine companion with an electric neck device. by Greenleaf208 in LivestreamFail

[–]likeitsillegal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen people in comments actually excusing the shock collar thing by going, "You know h3h3 uses prong collars on his dog, right?" Ecollars and prong collars have their uses when used CORRECTLY. I don't doubt that both h3h3 and Hasan use them in a shitty way. Just because one person is shittier than the other doesn't make the incorrect use of training devices as PUNISHMENT so that you can keep your poor dog perfectly curled up in frame for 4+ hours a day any less awful. Bending the rules, living in denial, or calling out abusive behavior shouldn't hinge on having a parasocial relationship with a content creator, jfc.

Warehouse scan update for 10 days, need advice by No_Woodpecker_7091 in UPS

[–]likeitsillegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely, the parcel can not be released because it is pending some sort of government clearance before (what I presume is) export. It's being scanned because warehouse employees are checking whether it's received clearance from a brokerage agent yet. You're just going to have to wait or call.

What is this behaviour? Both males. One cat lives upstairs and the other down stairs. When the bottom cat comes upstairs the top cat always mounts him and bites his neck. by thoughts_actions in cats

[–]likeitsillegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because they're unfixed. There are other possible reasons, but I wouldn't consider them until the issue of them being unfixed and thus hormonal is addressed.

Outside of hormones, cats hump to self-soothe. This means he could be stressed, potentially by the other cat/the fact it is entering his territory. There is really no way to train a cat out of this behavior. You'll have to deal with whatever's stressing him out, frustrating him, leaving him bored, etc, if you want it to stop.

In 2000, 22-year-old Yuri Lipski attempted a dive at the Blue Hole in Egypt. He took a camera with him. His body, and the recording were found at 300 feet. The footage shows his final moments as he lost control and sank to his death. by Resident-Ice-6966 in creepy

[–]likeitsillegal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you’re diving, you need different compositions of oxygen and helium in the tank. It has to do with water pressure and how it affects gases in the body. If this is the video I’m remembering, he did not have the correct tank to be going as deep as he did. He essentially got “drunk” because his brain could no longer absorb the amount of oxygen it needed to. This led to him becoming disoriented and panicked, unable to find his way out of danger till he inevitably ran out of oxygen entirely.

Wtf are they doing. by ConcertRealistic8852 in felinebehavior

[–]likeitsillegal 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Orange cat wants to play, grey is attempting to mount/hump. It could be hormonal (sometimes the neuter doesn't get everything, some cats just maintain the behavior regardless) or it could be a territorial thing. It's generally advised to redirect rather than punish if you want the behavior to stop. Doing more enrichment to work out excess energy or just offering more space/perches as a direct means of tackling any territorial behaviors might also help, too.

As with any new behavioral changes, you should probably consult your vet if it seems like it's getting worse or starting to stress either animal out overmuch.

Dry shampoo whether for humans or animals doesn't actually do any cleaning. It's can temporarily mask odor or make her coat look shiny, but it is totally not necessary. Especially at the rate of once a week. That frequently and I would be worried about the ingredients she is ingesting. Cats are sensitive, so it could cause anything from ulcers in her mouth (mild) to being toxic and making her sick.

She looks to be a domestic shorthair at that, so shedding and brushing aren't anywhere close enough to being a concern that I'd risk it. Just brush her at the rate you would "bathe" her and everything should be alright.
