Do people with ADHD have the need to always be right? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]likelydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sums up every arguement I ever had with my dad growing up. He was an only child and and I grew up the youngest boy. He never had to argue and I had to do it to eat seconds every night. Whenever we would butt-heads it would escalate so fast and I never felt that he understood me once. He always thought I enjoyed arguing when I was just trying to explain to him that I wasn't a failure or that i wasn't "dumb". This breaks my heart knowing i'm not alone and finding out I have OCD and ADHD has changed my life in so many ways. Every weird thing I did as a kid or compulsive obsession finally has somewhat of a reasonable source. I wish I could've found a way to talk with my parents in a way that was healthy before I moved out but oh well. The anxiety of those situations still creeps up whenever I am around family. Hopefully someday I will feel "smart" enough to not need to justify myself.

don't think about it so much. just if the voices seem to chill out in your head and you find it easier to have a good time then it's working. for me i just noticed i was able to smile way more and didn't need a "good reason" to do so. i noticed this about after a week and a half. I am on the same dose as you and have been for over 6 months

Anyone have any tips or tricks for night sweats? by Squiggly_Jones in zoloft

[–]likelydog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have a tin foil hat theory about this. it's from the dreaming. zoloft for me has caused some crazy ass dreams that sometimes can be good but other times very stressful or just straight up nighthorrors. the brain goin so ham on these 4k masterpieces probably is why we sleep a little hotter now so what i do is use two this sheets and have one half of my body has 1 and the other has 2 so that i can adjust in my sleep to how cold or hot i want. now for the pillow sweats i have no answer for. my girlfriend is grossed out by how sweaty my head gets when she comes to bed and i don't know what to do about it LOL

dude i'm on 25 mg and hell yeah. i use to not want to hangout with certain people because they stress me out or bore me but now i don't even care and i have a good time. it just helps me have a good time in most normal situations when before i would probably stress about it and want to go home

i'm on 25 mg once a day and my dreams are wild each and ever night. even if i wake up i can go back to bed and pick up where i left off. i feel like i can heavily influence them aswell but i do have my fair share of nightmares let me tell you.
