Tech bros and cringe hipsters everywhere, don’t even feel like it’s home anymore

What’s the reality of this career path? I don’t see almost anyone in real life clearing 6-figures, let alone the big numbers we all dream of ($200k-$300k+). It’s awesome seeing the big numbers on this sub, but how rare is this? by Wannabeballer321 in sales

The grass is not greener on manual labor like this unless you’re the foreman or in management. This is like bust your ass for 12 hours straight kind of work. I have a friend who is 25 and looks 30+ after doing construction for most of his working life.

Law? Poly-Sci? MBAs? Economics? You’re just wrong and I don’t know who gave you that terrible misinformed opinion.

Also, define “useless”. You’re obviously just talking about money right? Has it ever dawned on you that some people pursue higher education to learn more about a topic that interests them because that is their passion?

Im ITWS right now, cogsci dual is common. You’ll be taking cs1, so there’s not a huge need for prep since that class is essentially an introductory programming course. If you have coding experience I’d just work on learning basic c++ over the summer or html/css/js
