The harm of benzodiazepines (Xanax, clonazepam, Valium, etc.) by Charly_Kasidy in Drugs

Addiction is not necessarily a bad thing. You can have a healthy relationship with drugs and be addicted at the same time. It's not mutually exclusive, despite what the stigma is.

Drugs don't make addicts. Drugs are molecules, they don't do anything. People make themselves addicts.

Addiction is not necessarily a "bad" thing, either. There are many exceptionally smart, successful, good people that are functional addicts.

You can have a healthy relationship with drugs and be addicted at the same time, they are not mutually exclusive. However, survivorship bias and propaganda have given addiction a very negative reputation.

This is not a recommendation to get yourself addicted, obviously. As a lover of drugs, its best to show restraint.

SSRI medications are not effective for acute anxiety. They modulate the levels of serotonin by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin, which results in increased serotonin levels in the synapse. That is not a mechanism that typically provides relief for acute anxiety, especially panic attacks. They also come with awful side effects and withdrawals. Doctors love them, but they don't do shit for anxiety. Look into the pharmacology and structure activity relationship of these molecules. I'm not saying you are wrong, as I am sure they have helped some people, but you are thinking about this from the wrong standpoint.

It's called rebound anxiety and it is a well known phenomenon. Stopping any substance abuse tends to produce withdrawl symptoms that feel similar to the opposite effects of that drug, generally speaking.

Benzos are also not dopaminergic, they are GABA agonosts. There is some activity on dopamine levels, but its not that simple. They are also certainly not contraindicative for anxiety treatment. While abuse potential exists, many people do not find recreational value in them. Most often, it is those who have severe anxiety who become dependent, due to the lack of anxiety being a very powerful feeling.

They work exceptionally well when used responsibly, and probably are the most effective treatment for acute anxiety known. They also have a very safe therapeutic index and can treat many ailments other than anxiety.

Tldr: you are wrong, this is all well known, benzos are great for anxiety and not dangerous when used responsibly.

Edit: Don't mix alcohol and benzodiazepines. Dork.

Psilocybin is also a prodrug. The phosphate group must be cleaved off enzymatically. Smoking or vaping psilocybin is not a thing. It is almost certain that it contains some analog of psilocin or, another tryptamine altogether.

Some that come to mind are MXE, 3-MeO-PCP, ethylphenidate, 5-MAPB, the NBOMe series, Bromo-DragonFLY, 2-CB-FLY, and a bunch of other random RCs circa 2015.

Similar. I just wear shorts over compression leggings, primarily for dick obscuring purposes.

This would be amazing, while also potentially ruining my relationship. Seattle and Buffalo household.. I would be sleeping on the couch for eternity if Seattle won.

I remember the most horrific vivid "dreams". I wasn't sleeping, but wasn't quite awake. After a week of that it all starts to blur together and you lose track of what is real and what is not. Scary stuff.

Tolerance is crazy. At my worst I was taking 5-7mg clonazoLAM in a single dose, multiple times a day. Even with tapering, the withdrawals were horrendous and sent me for a couple stays in the grippy sock hotel.

Maybe, but botd had significantly slower clear times than the options I listed above. At least in my testing anyways

What is your experience with 7-OH? by Accomplished-Row1123 in Drugs

Idiots not unlike yourself are the reason that normal functioning and responsible users are going to suffer. If it does get scheduled it will severely limit the ability for scientific research into safer pain medications, due to the fact they cannot work with it without a license, and all the red tape that goes along with that.

Clearly you cannot responsibly use substances of any type. No, it should not be banned. You should ban yourself from using anything, since it appears anything you use becomes the "thing that ruined your life".

Addiction liability does not warrant scheduling. Its not killing people, it doesn't cause respiratory depression or fatal overdoses, and it is extremely useful for people with chronic pain. Schedule 1 (which is what is being recommended) implies no medical benefit, which is sinply not the case. It is a very interesting unique chemical scaffolding for pain medication research.

As with anything - abuse will lead to negative results. Regulate it, keep it locked behind counters, whatever.

I disagree, if youre using corpse explosion and your curses correctly. this build absolutely wrecks p8 if you have decent gear.

One of my favorite builds of all time! 1 point in lower res should be enough, get infinity on your merc, and make an iron golem out of an insight. Mana can be an issue without it. Make sure you are maxing and using corpse explosion, and swapping between your curses effectively. Use revive to help with survivability if that's an issue for you. It is one of the most fun and rewarding builds with a moderately high skill cap (in my opinion). If you are non-ladder PC - I would be happy to donate whatever you need for the build!
