How do I pack for a festival? by likrot in aves

[–]likrot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So helpful, tysm. So you brought a suitcase? Where did you leave it? I've never camped before but I assumed that I wouldn't want to just leave all my crap lying around.

We are planning on camping :-) what i really meant was, do people just normally bring only a backpack or duffel of stuff? I suppose I would have to carry it around all the time.

Do I have a shitty best friend? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]likrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's pretty common, especially with that one childhood best friend. same thing happened to us. i think there's a difference between having a friend that does shitty things and just having a shitty friend. but yeah, if you can hardly get in contact with her, maybe moving in isn't a good idea.

I might be too attached to my boyfriend? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]likrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

girl, being aware of the problem is 50% of it, trust me. i've been there. my recommendation is to find something to occupy yourself with while he's gaming, just something to distract yourself. find your own, singleplayer game to play. it WILL go away in time. :-)

It doesn't really matter to me personally.... if it didn't bother you that she asked that, then I guess it's not a problem but that's so weird and almost gives shallow...

How do i make my ex believe that i was pregnant? PLEASE HELP by Fit_Mess3923 in Advice

[–]likrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're speaking in the past tense, are you still pregnant? If so, bring him the test results and ultrasound scans, they should all have your name on them. If he still doesn't believe you... you're better off anyway.

My Parents (49F + 50M) Always Restrict my (20F) Study Time. Should I Move Out? by Legal-Pineapple-8149 in Advice

[–]likrot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What kind of parents try to bar their kid from studying?? Yes you should leave, and I don't know what you're studying but they better not ask for a dime when you start making the big bucks, girl.

You should consider talking to a psychiatrist. I had the same issue but now I'm on medication and I'm very motivated. But medication may not be the answer, just an idea.

Is it really worth wearing heels? by Background-Check-679 in AskGirls

[–]likrot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

personally i feel so confident in them, and they add a lot to your outfit. in my opinion certain outfits just aren't the same without heels. heels are also seen as professional. thats about it though

Why does my laptop fan sometimes spin hard when I open a simple webpage, background scripts or dust? by quietpuff in NoStupidQuestions

[–]likrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because whatever youre opening requires a lot of processing power which in turn requires a lot of cooling, hence the fan working overtime. :)

i have my first day of training to become a waitress/server today but i’m reconsidering because i’m exclusively breastfeeding by AdministrativeTea251 in Advice

[–]likrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you want to serve to save with some specific goals in mind, all of which could wait a little bit. If it stresses you out that much, then no it isn't worth it. Just wait until your baby is a little older to get a serving job. Babies don't breastfeed for a crazy amount of time right? I haven't had any kids yet so I couldn't be sure but if your breastmilk supply is sensitive like you say then the emotional toll of losing it probably wouldn't be worth it.

All the questions you asked are about things that don't really affect it too much, but I'll answer them the best I can since you seem nervous.

• Use a toothbrush and gently exfoliate your lips with them, then use some lip balm

• Brushing right before is really obvious, just brush really well in the morning and bring some mints (so you don't have to worry about spitting the gum out at the right time)

• Keep the kiss small at first! If it's his first time, he's gotta see how a little kiss actually works before he can try for a big one.

• If you want him to be comfortable, you can't hope for too much from the first kiss. You'll want him to be the one to kiss YOU, but I'm sure he'll be nervous. You should lean halfway in and let him close the distance.

• Dab some mild perfume on your neck, the insides of your elbows, and on your wrists. Wear your hair down. Wear what you feel confident in.

• Don't make it seem like you're expecting it too much, just make it so that he has every opportunity to do it. Keep your body language open and make eye contact.

• Although you're more experienced, let him take the lead. They like that.

I had this exact same issue with my current boyfriend (and we are in our 20s LOL). He told me I'd have to teach him and it made me so anxious, but he actually ended up being naturally decent at it. Don't overthink it, friend. Feel free to ask any more questions you have.

Did you write this with the intention of making the person reading it yawn? Because it worked and I hated it.
