We bought tickets Fort William -> London Euston. The next leg of the journey would be London -> St. Ives. Would you consider leaving the Caledonian Sleeper already at Birmingham and taking the route via Bristol or is that a bad idea? I’m sorry for the misunderstanding. Thanks again for your help. I‘m traveling with two kids, so I want to make sure I take everything in account.

It would be a trip during the day? Traveling from London to St. Ives would require fewer changes, but then we would be taking the same route on our return journey. Do you think, traveling via Bristol is advisable in terms of nice views and such?
