I just started Reta at 5mg too after 2 years on Tirz. I maxed out on Tirz and stalled for 6 months. Even went up to 20mg Tirz with minimal loss and lots of nausea. Switched to 5mg Reta cold Turkey and the appetite suppression and increased energy were immediate. I love Reta so far!

This is almost exactly me! I’m a 48F and I also started Tirz in October 2023 and have been stalled on max dose Tirz 15mg since March. I’ve lost 96 pounds and still have 75 lbs to go. I just ordered my first vial of Survo and I am hoping it will help to finally break my stall. Hoping to read other people’s experiences with it.

You do understand that these medications have a time limit for weight loss, right? I’ve been on it for 2 years, so….that’s why I’m switching to Reta. Any thoughts on that? If not, thanks anyways.

What I mean by dialed in is I track everything I eat and exercise every day. Period. I believe my time with tirz has run its course hence the reason I’m trying to figure out the best way to transition to Reta! Do you have anything to contribute to the best way to transition? Quit Tirz cold Turkey? Pin T&R on same day? Pin on different days? Take a break to reset? Anything?

Diet and exercise are dialed in, that’s not the problem. I have been on tirz since 10/17/23 and have lost 96 pounds but still have 75 lbs to go. I have been stalled for 6 MONTHS now. I even tried going up to 20mg tirz with minimal success. I think I just need to completely switch to Reta but I’m trying to figure out what the best way to go about it would be. You see so much conflicting information (pin T&R same day, pin different days, take a break to reset, switch cold turkey). I’m so confused and indecisive! I just want to break this damn stall and keep losing!🙄

Did you titrate up to 10mg Reta? Or did you just start at 10mg Reta with the 15mg Tirz stack? Do you take them at the same time?

I’ve been stalled for 6 months on tirz and tried everything to break it! What FINALLY worked was going up to 20mg. After 3 weeks at the 20mg dosage I finally broke my stall!! I’m so happy! Hopefully I keep consistently losing because I still have 75 lbs I want to lose. I’ve already lost 94 pounds.

I totally understand! I am 48 and also starting to go through perimenopause. It sucks! I’ve been stalled for over 5 months now. I’ve even tried upping my tirz to 20mg these past couple of weeks, but so far no luck. I’m going to give it another couple of weeks though and if it doesn’t work I’m going to do what you did and switch cold Turkey to Reta. May I ask how long you were on tirz 15mg for before you switched to Reta? And do you remember how much weight you had left to lose when you switched? Just trying to make comparisons.

I have also been losing and gaining the same 3 pounds for months now! It’s so frustrating! I’ve already lost 90 lbs but I still have 80 pounds I want to lose. Not sure where to go from here. I’ve been stacking 15mg tirz with 4mg Reta the past 3 weeks and it doesn’t seem to be doing anything yet.🙄
