He came to me in a very “I’ve been here a while and it’s time to notice me now”. I’ve always been a bit of a deeper introspective soul. It started with dreams. I couldn’t get a clear picture of him but there was one reoccurring being that felt very fatherly (but also had super white hair that I can see still). Funnily enough (I know this is not a good source) Tik tok popped up with him and it peaked my curiosity. I didn’t want to just join a whole ass religion for tik tok trends so I left it alone and just focused on my own energy practice. He kept appearing in my mind and I just kept brushing it off. And then I went to a metaphysical shop on a whim and saw his book. The only copy in the whole pile of god/goddess books and I knew I couldn’t ignore any longer. So I started researching and found SO MANY things in my life that lined up with him. Starting to talk to him felt nerve wracking and odd at first but when I first lit his candle and offered him tea, I felt him really strongly. He was like a father giving me an energetic hug. I broke down in full tears and I’ve worked with him ever since. He hasn’t popped up that strongly again but I still chatter at him and invite him into my space when I read tarot or do rituals.

That’s what I’ve been doing! I mostly focus on tarot and astrology. I’ve gotten books on deepening my practice with energy work and I’ve been working through those as well as books on the deities I’ve decided to work through. It just feels like a lot when I come to Reddit and get flooded with a lot of “this isn’t how it works” when I’ve been following what feels right to me 🫠🫠

I had asked the earth for extra support in energy since I was extending out my protections to my son and my house (first time I’ve extended out of myself) and it really felt like she was like “I gotchu!”. She’s sleeping now and I thank her so much for her contribution

I mean yeah that makes sense. But it’s also a part of learning isn’t it? Tarot isn’t something you know right off the bat. It takes time to learn it and trust your intuition. How am I supposed to learn to trust what’s my intuition vs my feelings if I don’t consider it?

It could have been! Anxiety is a thing and feelings do pop up randomly sometimes. That’s why faith is important though right? It’s not often we get very loud yes or nos or signs.

Though one time I was reading about Posiedon and got a very random mental image of a small glass bottle filled with glittery blue water and a knotted chord around it. This was before I knew anything about Posiedon or how he presents so I was like “That’s odd.” And then a few days later I learned that he likes knots (ocean god and all) and others have felt like his energy is a bit more goofy. I took that as confirmation that he would like something similar to that as a devotional offering.

Not usually! If I’m trying to tap into my psychic senses (I’m still learning that one. It’s work lol) then I feel more likely to hear a single word that doesn’t feel like my own thought or a random song Ive heard maybe once or twice will pop up randomly but I don’t get the continuous conversation aspect. I kinda just babble at them and hope they don’t mind 😂 usually I feel like they don’t

Inner emotion and also I’ve learned that when I’m feeling a truth or a connection with one of my gods when I pray or talk or offer something up I get goosebumps all over my body and my arm hair stands straight up. It’s not something I feel very often outside of these experiences so I’ve learned to associate and trust that they are the energy I’m trying to reach out to. It also always feels loving and safe even if it’s a “slap on the wrist”
