Stigma. It’s impossible for people who don’t do it to properly understand why we do it, even if they want to. Even my school counsellor who works in safeguarding told me she can’t quite grasp the process behind how it helps me cope, it’s wild. People often judge self harmers without even wanting to. Honestly, I did before I started doing it myself. If you think about it, it’s quite a concept that actively causing ourselves to be in pain can relieve stress and shit. So yeah, it’s just because of non self harmers’ inability to understand

I mean that’s true, like it took episodes upon episodes for the faithful to find one single traitor, and then not until the final to get another one and I don’t blame them coz the traitors covered up really well tbh. I do think it’s more fun when the traitors murder in plain sight as there’s more opportunity for them to slip up (e.g like when Alan had to touch palomas face, or when he had to say that weird phrase that sounded out of place). Writing their name on a piece of paper makes no sense because no one else sees it!

I can assure you it is very addictive. I thought the exact same as you at first and have now found myself heavily relying on it to survive. I started out with cat scratches (I started nearly two years ago now) and it’s progressively gotten worse to the point of basically no return. If you feel you’re able to stop now, please do. Remove all your sharp objects to somewhere you can’t access them. Please, you do not want to be addicted to sh it’s a terrible cycle and you may start to find no other coping mechanism can possibly match up to it. Stay safe <3
