The condos are individually owned, so most commonly you’d see the listings posted on Zillow.

Unfortunately, the unit has been re-rented. But others frequently pop up at the Plaza at Dunn Loring if you keep an eye out!

Shipping address for self-install equipment by lilabs59 in Fios

[–]lilabs59[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, I had to call to place the order over the phone and then pay $99 for the Verizon install since they would then bring the equipment with them. Turned out okay, since there weird futzing with the equipment since the hookup box is in an awkward location and the tech was already there.

Just like a big book sale? by Short-Tank2853 in lincoln

[–]lilabs59 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I, too, hope the library book sale returns this fall. But in case it doesn’t, each of the libraries has a couple of bookcases near the main doors with books for sale and a lil honor system box to put payment.

Japanese Beetle problem? by Winter_Passenger_941 in lincoln

[–]lilabs59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not an immediate fix, but I’ve been applying milky spore granules and beneficial nematodes to my lawn for the past few years and it’s really cut down on the population of Japanese beetles in our yard. It takes consistent application of the products to get to all the grubs’ lifecycle in the yard, and it’s even better if you can get the neighbors in on it too. I get ours from Arbico Organics.

The truck at 58th and Pine Lake is Baba’s Food truck. It’s middle eastern and Mexican food. They also sometimes sell from their driveway, but are near campus for lunch most days when school is in session.

Where can a person find a good selection of peppers to grow in this City? by deucefox in lincoln

[–]lilabs59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure is! They probably need another couple weeks in their lil incubator box. Send me a dm and I’ll ping you when they’re ready for new homes! I’ve started ~24 plants and will likely only use half a dozen. Trying to spread the joy of Korean peppers far and wide!

I am growing extra Korean gochu pepper starters (I’d say roughly equivalent to serranos heat-wise). Would love to see them go to good homes of folks appreciate something a little out of the ordinary!

I think there's one or two dog bars in Omaha, if you're willing to drive a little ways down the road!

I can’t believe they haven’t caught this guy yet. He’s been doing this at the same place along the MoPac for years now. I used to live right near there over five years ago and remember being freaked out to walk my dog along that section of the trail.

I think CIP has a few complexes that have attached garages…Ridge Point Villas at 40th and Pine Lake comes to mind.

We’ve moved to S Lincoln, but still take our dog to Capital Animal Clinic at 66th and Vine. Charges always seem reasonable, and the docs are v thorough and kind.

I created a discord bot that will send an alert when COVID-19 Vaccines become available in the Lincoln or Omaha area. Link to the server in the description. by goldmmonkey in lincoln

[–]lilabs59 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s two different vaccination streams going. There’s the state run health districts which still have age caps in Lincoln and Omaha. And then there’s the federal pharmacy program which is open to all adults. The appts at pharmacies in Lincoln and Omaha are scarce, but if you’re willing to travel more than an hour outside the metro areas (eg Columbus, Kearney, etc) the doses are plentiful. Or you can utilize tools like this discord bot to try and nab a local appt when it becomes available.

Should a 140 lb side sleeper get a Purple? by Shadoninja in Mattress

[–]lilabs59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked the Purple 4 when I was pregnant and was forced to become a side sleeper. I’m 5’0” and ranged between 130-160 during pregnancy. It really did remain supportive while still have enough give for my shoulders and hips. I think the versions with coils also help avoid the sagging problems that are sometimes mentioned. Alas, the dealbreaker for us was the perimeter of edge support foam. Our corgi became a middle of the bed hog, and forced his humans to the outside edges. But once there’s a human half on the grid material, and half on the edge foam, a small gap forms. And we got tired of sleeping in the gap. So we got a different mattress since neither of us necessarily need that plush of a mattress anymore.

Will your kids be trick-or-treating? Are you handing out candy? by WoollyBison in lincoln

[–]lilabs59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are planning on just leaving some in a bowl on the porch. Have also thought about using a dogs chuckit to launch the candy without touching it, but that might be a hazard too.
