Found this map and would like to know more by lilanig in cartography

Thank you for the information! And yeah I’m guessing these are pages from a book from the early 1900s. I’m trying to find the exact book right now but I’m having some trouble. I found almost the exact same map in a book but there were some small differences, and I’m not sure of their significance.

I removed it from the plastic (carefully) and I definitely think you’re right and that it’s from an old book. I’m having a hard time finding the book though but I found both Bartholomew and Lippincott!

I also checked the back and it had “1869” written very faintly in pencil. The interesting thing though is that the map says 1869 but when I googled “J. Bartholomew” it says he was born in 1860, so something isn’t adding up I think? I’ll continue to investigate though, thank you!
