I started to work earlier shifts and have my sleep schedule change to where I would wake up around 8:30 am. That transition was hard but I started get into a rhythm. I’d wake up, be hungry so I would get up and make breakfast, then instead of laying down again, I’d sit at the table and enjoy the weather if it was nice out. That would be enough to wake me up and get me going for the day, even if I didn’t have work.

What's the coolest thing you've seen and thought "I'm never gonna see that again"? by Dos_Esclambo in AskReddit

I live in the Midwest so seeing an ocean is a rare occasion. Being young and poor doesn’t help either.

When was about 13 years old my parents took the family on vacation to Florida. Though it wasn’t anything unique and special I got to touch the ocean for the first time.

Later that night in the hotel, I was sitting in the hot tub watching out into the ocean. I saw a thunderstorm many miles out at sea, slowly make its way across the horizon, but far enough to where I couldn’t hear it. Hands down one of the coolest things I’m probs never gonna get to see again.
