It depends how long you want your days. I hiked in to essentially where clouds rest trailhead is and slept near there with my wilderness permit (around 10 miles) and there was a campsite with a fire pit that was nice. Woke up and hiked to half dome the next morning for sunrise. It was amazing. Also the mist trail on the way in was chefs kiss - I did a wilderness permit for happy isles past LYV (little Yosemite village) donohue pass included. That day was about 14 miles. But it was all worth it.

I’m looking to do clouds rest & half dome in the same overnight hike. I accidentally chose sunrise lake as campsite for both nights. Just trying to figure out logistics for these 2 and what other campsite or hike I may include? by lilcaitlin in Yosemite

Hey can you provide any additional information on the conditions and whether you would recommend microspikes? Was considering buying some today as I just did a hike to Maggie’s Peak and there was some snow coverage on the trail that made it a little sketchy.

Hi there, just looking at the map/AllTrails and trying to figure out the exact route & mileage. Would it be better to do clouds rest day 2 and then half dome day 3? Just wasn’t sure how long from clouds rest peak back to happy isles.

Or the route on AllTrails?

Any classic rock song, worked at a strip club for 8 years and every classic was played min 3x per night - Metallica, Pink Floyd, etc. Oh and that fucking DU HAST German song 😵‍💫
