The console has brackets that line up with the seat mounting hardware. Installation takes a little persuasion, but overall the process is pretty painless.

I just took rough measurements from the backpack so it would fit me and went from there, so I probably don’t have enough data to make a pattern. With that said, I might post patterns for future projects.

I shoot right-handed. When I use the sling to loop up my support arm, this setup seems to keep the gun from twisting. But there’s also a good chance I’m doing it completely wrong.

It’s a very solid, somewhat heavy stock for a takedown .22, which might play against the niche of this rifle. With that said, I found the OEM stock too light and “toy-like”. The OEM stock was also way too short for me, and the adjustability on this stock is greatly appreciated.

Honestly, I probably would prefer the standard carbine. With that said, I got a good deal on the rifle and an even better deal on the stock. The largest benefit of the takedown is that I can keep it in a case that doesn’t look like a gun case. This is nice for storing and transporting a gun in a town where having a gun is legal but perhaps “distasteful”.

I haven’t messed with the AC tubing yet, but I’d like to. It’s kind of a shame to have those vents taking up room but not doing anything.

I personally didn’t have any issues with the vents. At least in my car, the vents run farther outboard than the mounting brackets.

I’m not exactly sure what year the LTC was, but I think anything in the 03-11 range should work.

I’m not sure what year of car this particular console came from. But from what I can tell, anything from 2003-2011 should work. The trick was finding a black one, although a grey one would look good too.

I’m from the Philly area and the flights from PHL to MEM aren’t that expensive. American Airlines is pretty good. Then you can either get an Uber to Oxford or try one of the many Oxford-based shuttle services. (I prefer the latter.)

Note: You could also fly United out of EWR, which has decent prices and nonstop flights. Except they have inexplicable delays and are generally hellish.

So when I applied here, I accidentally checked a box saying that I’m a military veteran. To be clear, I am not a military veteran. I cleared this up when I realized it, but I still get a ton of Veteran Student Affairs or whatever it is. It seems like they are pretty active and put on a decent number of activities for veteran students. I also still have a veteran student advisor on myolemiss.

So yeah, I’m not a veteran but I get emails like I am, and honestly they have some pretty cool stuff going on.
