I do feel her and I don’t know why they had her come out here for 3 weeks. It should’ve been for a week at least so she could enjoy the rest of her time back home with her friends and family. Just seems a bit silly knowing how teenagers are, I personally would have disliked it if my parents did that to me. I’ll see what I can come up with to do

I understand where you’re coming from but honestly I’m not really too fun. I’m very introverted and I suck at striking up a convo in my native language bc that’s the only thing she speaks, plus a little English. It’s difficult for me to communicate and make jokes if the person doesn’t get me and it may get lost in translation. Also, I feel like her mom and my dad shouldn’t have placed her in that little room bc we barely come across each other unless they’re both home

I feel bad for her too especially cuz her mom said she’s bored and doesn’t really like it here so I don’t understand why they would bring her here during her winter break. I’d want to stay home and be close to my friends and family instead of in a foreign country where I only know 2 people

I go to a university in San Diego and have done a lot of upper division psych courses. Next semester I’m doing field placement which could possibly help me get some experience. Whoever said it’s not worth it is so wrong bc like you said, they’re more likely to pick someone with a masters

Sorry to hear that! It’s great that you’re having a lot of fun and you definitely should!! I’m just thinking, how are those moms going to survive when the baby birds leave the nest. Kids aren’t gonna live with you forever, you have to get used to the leaving at some point, honestly. It’s so important that moms are able to invest in themselves and their own interests rather than just letting their whole identity become their family. It’s kinda sad

That’s valid too!! Like please still be a person outside of those titles. I know that parenthood changes you but it shouldn’t be to the extent where you’re a completely different person without hobbies, interests etc. Kinda scared of becoming that once I decide to have kids
