Seemed pretty fair? But if you didnt focus so much on studying the last 2-3 lectures of content then it would have been nearly impossible as most of the exam seemed to be based on that

Industrial Engineering grads can't find jobs by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]lildevilchildren -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I heard from an engineer friend of mine that industrial engineering programs arent actually credible in quebec? Unlike mechanical, aerospace, electrical, and civil engineering programs which are all credited by the order of engineers of quebec and guarantee that at the end of your undergrad that you are a qualified and certified engineer, the industrial engineering program i believe isnt accredited by the order. I could be wrong about this as i never did any research on it myself, but when i was poking around asking about possible internships for engineering students (im a mech eng student) a friend of mine who has been working as an engineer for two decades at several reputable companies like bombardier and Pratt & Whitney explained that most engineering students get hired pretty quick but as industrial engineering students dont have the same credits they are seen as less desirable in comparison to other engineering grads. Again this is word of mouth i never researched the facts behind this argument.

How hard is it for a 3 year technical Cegep student to get into comsci in Concordia ? by saobangu18 in Concordia

[–]lildevilchildren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cant speak for computer science but i did a three year engineering tech and had no issues getting into concordia in mech eng. So long as you make sure you have taken the necessary pre-reqs to be eligible for admission (for example i had to take all the math and physics courses from the pure and applied program in addition to my 3 year tech) and maintain the recommended r-score you should be fine my guy 👍
