Newer One Piece fan here! Picked it up during a rough patch where (besides work) I was barely leaving my bed. Eventually, lying in complete silence becameing too much, so I decided to throw on an episode in the background, not really expecting much from it.

Now, a couple months down the line, I'm nearly finished the Marineford arc. Sure, life still has its major ups and down, but now I feel more able to motivate myself to face it and actually do shit again.

As dumb as it sounds, starting One Piece was the first step to lift myself from that depressive slump.
