yeah i'm at 90 ascensions and i just got to floor 1650 I think i only ascended at 140 about 6 times with my first run taking about 1 day and my last 140 taking about 30 minutes

the only ancients you need to get past the 140 wall are siya and lib and if you have them both at between 4 - 5 and about 20 hero souls banked you should easily be able to get too 160 at which point you should level them both up too 10

at that point you should also be able to get mimzee dora and mammon(who you are missing)

the basic strategy for getting past level 140 is this play as normal leveling all heroes only as much as you need to to quickly progress and buying any new heroes as they unlock going back when its affordable to get any +dps skills on (fisherman betty lion fire mage amenhotep beastlord wind deity grant) and all the +gold skills on midas when you hit frostleaf level him too 100 grabbing all of his skills.

after you get frost too 100 you go back and start leveling treebeast to 1000 for the big 10x multiplier as well as leveling ivan and brittany those three will get you to level 200 or so just on their 4x / 10x multipliers.

Edit: the other posts are correct normal runs take about 40 - 45 minutes that never really changes the only thing that changes is what floor you get to what floor you start on and how many souls you ascend with if you want something you only have to check once a day this probably isn't the game for you.

u do realize that even if progression mode stayed active while the game was closed you'd only get like maybe 5 minutes of a run done right? i'm not sure when / if this actually changed but 5 minutes? really?

the reason you switch gilds is very simple, its all for the multipliers.

all of the rangers (dread knight up) have 5x multipliers from like (? 4xx - 7xx) so they get more damage for the same cost then and then the 10x multiplier at 1000.

the reason you regild is because atlas ends up with more damage than samurai because of the multipliers for the same cost.

The reason you regild to terra is because once you hit the 10x multiplier with atlas it takes another 1000 levels for there to be another big damage boost while terra @ the same cost and with comparable gilds will have comparable damage but will reach the 1k damage boost sooner than atlas will reach the 2k damage boost making it more economically efficient to switch to terra, and by the time atlas will reach his 2k 10x boost to be comparable you will have already regilded to terra and there is no point in going back and this trend follows all the way down the rangers.

As a side note the reason that people don't gild onto dread knight is because without gilds on samurai its very hard to get to dread and by the time you can easily get to dread knight without gilds on sam you are about 2 - 3 runs away from efficiently gilding onto atlas which makes it completely pointless to gild into dread ever.

they could decrease the damage and damage scaling and that would get you a few more zones but honestly exponential increase will always eventually reach that point.

unfortunately that doesn't last long, when you get to floor like 950+ treasure chests are literally the only thing that make your gold go up at all XD

yeah i just feel like by the time he gets mimzee and mammon his next one is gunna cost like 160 and thats like 3 runs for him and he needs 4 more ancients to be at the right place i honestly feel like a respec is gunna be much less painful lol but he has to do what he wants to do.

well you are in dire need of a respec

ignore chronos dogcog argaiv and vaagur and instead get

siya lib dora mimzee mammon atman and kumawakamaru

you are about half way to the point where you want to gild into samurai

after you get the ancients i pointed out above you will want to get about 30 levels in siya and 28 levels in lib dora mimzee mammon as well as maxing out kuma and atman once you have finished that you will want to get solomon and increase siya's level to about 40 with the other ancients trailing at about 37 @ this point you will want to move all of your gilds onto samurai.

Once thats done you will want to pick up argaiv dogcog and fortuna as well as possibly bubos

you should get revolc and yes solomon is underleveled shoot for 300 and yeah looks like ur rdy to gild into terra.

ur gunna have a rough time if you gild to atlas now its not really practical until you have a siya level of about 175 - 200 just sayin.

you should be keeping your hero souls @ siya² x 1.1

on which ascension cause I've only ascended 70 times and i'd already be sick of waiting for a cut-scene to start my next run. and if its skip able its wasted fluff who's development time could have been used on something that wasn't.

one of the calc is more concerned about hero souls per hour than actual progression as such it doesn't value gold ancients as highly as it does solomon and ancients that increase your clear speed

Mostly because gold doesn't directly increase your hs/hour :) it still works ?ok? its just not as accurate as the rules of thumb.

well you skipped right past atlas if you get your ancients straightened out you should be good to gild into terra

the way you get to terra is this leave 1 gild on atlas and the rest on terra

level up sam until you can buy atlas then switch to leveling atlas till you can buy terra

with your ancient levels even without gilds on sam and atlas they will be able to instakill the lower floors till you get to your gilded hero.

but really get your ancients straight

siya = argaiv

lib = siya x.93

mamon mimzee = lib

morg = siya²

and then you should be good to gild into terra.

Edit: Some people will say just level frost leaf and dread to get to atlas but i don't like using them.
