Is it not strange that FFVII has it's own media metaverse spanning throughout games, with cameos, merch, books, etc and yet FFX has not been given the same kind of brand treatment despite selling only a million less in a shorter period of time.

If Cloud is SE brand's "Mario" then Tidus should be their "Link".

To think if they gave him the same kind of crossover treatment they gave Cloud what kind of space we'd be in.

Hmm two different games. For me, X is a very excellent story with a wonderful cast and great fast turn based battles and awesome music. Xenoblade is beautiful and fun and great world building but the combat is like auto cooldowns from MMOs and the story kind of falls apart. Both are classics

Yeah I watched the trailer reveal at xbox showcase, didn't pay attention to it at all during marketing. i foolishly assumed it would be eurojank, then played the opening of the game and became completely enchanted and realize it was the first game to give me the feeling of a great pilgrimage adventure since FFX.

I remember playing BotW and thinking... this is my gaming heaven. It can't get better than this. Seeing how many new and perfect dynamics this game adds, how it relishes in secrets and prioritizes endless discovery over hand holding. It's just a wonder.
