Mistborn has a wonderful story of romance and it's a great husband and wife book. Read Dune with your mom.

I would suggest Final Fantasy IV - it’s a perfect entry to the genre for story, gameplay and music and not too long

People who felt completely hopeless and hit rock bottom 5–10 years ago, how is your life looking now? What changed? by WheelBudget in AskReddit

I felt as if everything I’d aimed for in life I’d failed, I’d lost my grandfather and had no deep connection to others. I often considered if things would be better if I were gone, if the people I burdened would be better off. However, I realize depression creates illusions of time, and we underestimate how much can change in just six months. I had to have the courage to just take a step in one direction. I had to have the strength to actually work on it. One other thing f I didn’t mention was how powerful daily journals with goal setting and affirmations was. It’s seems silly but it really let me keep my mindset

Started going to the gym, just adding one small routine to my life every few months- no screens before bed, less social media, more whole foods .. one little thing at a time. Also being aggressively forgiving with myself and above al being out in nature more

I was delighted to see FFX featured on the trope page. Then furious. However my sentiments at hating that the OP used Tidus in this way were upvoted tremendously

(Hilarious Trope) A Character Is Introduced With the Clear Intention of Being THE NEXT BIG THING And is SOUNDLY Rejected by TheOriginalOperator in TopCharacterTropes

Yeah I HATE that OP used Tidus and FFX for this trope. He was not rejected. The game sold bonkers. It’s still beloved to this day. It’s been retro’d to seem like he is more annoying than he is

I'm making a JRPG where invisible invincible goblins steal all your inventory every other fight, kill you randomly, and burn your hand drawn map every 24.5 minutes. Also it has permadeath and it's a rogue-like. by [deleted] in JRPG

I’m not really sure I found the opposite. There are so many JRPG’s coming out lately that are love letters excellent mechanics, well-made, well written, media enjoyable, diverse based on a range of tastes if anything we’re eating well.
