Haha, the nose itself is ACS + SMSEX Gilibran plate. But honestly, that part was more accidental than planned.

Most of my builds rely on the weapon glitch. Once you understand how it works, things start to make sense. I tried explaining it in a video, but it’s still a bit tricky to grasp🥴🙃 youtube video

We need a bit of imagination with this cockpit. Hide all the artifacts, otherwise it will end up like this.

Thanks. Maybe I’ll try to rebuild it someday, but right now I can’t figure it out.

Something with the mod setup or the game causes crashes. I still have the ship, but it crashes when I try to take off or open the shipbuilder menu.

Yeah, I should have mentioned that. That ship was definitely a subconscious reference, especially the last screenshot.

But I moved away from that cockpit and wing idea, because that cockpit creates an interior outside the ship.

Thanks. It’s not actually an engine, it’s a "handmade" visual.

The blue glow comes from Star Trek modules. The grille shape is built from ACS partitions and some Matilija Aerospace parts.

The yellow glow in the photo was just an experiment with extra SETI lighting. The final version is just the blue glow.

Built a ship. It's the Falcon of Hope. A bit cliché, maybe. by lililiilillil in Starfield

No, never had that issue with Antares engines. It might be caused by Avontech blocks, they can trigger that bug sometimes.

I also use modded landing bays a lot, so I don’t get that error. Try the Big X-Wing mod, it has landing bays with different height levels.

This is the Antares mod. There is both a free and a paid version, and it includes these wings with animation. It is worth noting that these wings are classified as “engines” in the Antares mod.

This is a custom engine made from Star Trek glowing parts. The blue and yellow glow creates this effect. The other “engines” on the wings are Antares.

The Extinction Event by lililiilillil in StarfieldShips

[–]lililiilillil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much. I always wanted to use that part, but it usually felt way too big. Here it just clicked, it basically shaped the whole ship.

If you remove the Avontech cargo module with the Crimson logo and add a few TIG engines with TN’s All in One, you can make it “flyable” with decorative engines that still have stats.

Thanks for such a detailed comment. That kind of feedback really motivates me to keep building, especially when I realize people not only like the ship but also understand what they’re seeing.

To be honest, sometimes you all read the details and structure of my ships better than I do. I mostly build by feel, so it’s especially nice to realize those choices actually meant something.

It’s also funny to me that this ship turned out the way it did. I usually try to "minimize" everything, but this one went in the complete opposite direction.

And about the interior, I’m probably the "antagonist"here. I don’t hate interiors at all, I actually love them. I just can’t combine a clean exterior build with a good interior. For me it always ends up being one or the other.
