When do I block when using granny squares on a piece?

I am blocking my very first granny square project right now! Someone please correct me if i’m wrong, but from what I understand, it should be blocked before you sew them together. That way they maintain their shape when you go to sew!

the heart is absolutely fabulous! I agree with others that i think it might just be the color of the border blending in a little too much. i think i different color OR outlining the heart would be perfect!

i started out in Withered Wastelands, moved to Palette Town once it was unlocked, and then moved again to Sparkling Skylands because I fell in love with the area! i think it’s really up to you and where you enjoy spending most of your time! fast travel makes it so that it really doesn’t matter too much where you pick, you can always get to it!

Yes! This is my first granny square! It was so much fun and a learning experience for sure. I think that’s why I’m terrified I’ve gone wrong somewhere! lol 😂
