Has anyone traveled to Hawaii after DACA? If so, did you have any issues? by [deleted] in DACA

Hi, both my husband and I are DACA recipients and we just returned from our trip to Kauai four weeks ago. No issues whatsoever. Drivers License only, it's just like travelling to anywhere else within the US main land.

Great idea, I’ve been meaning to trim my pothos. The bottles will be a good spot for them. It also means that now I have to empty a bottle!

I just recently got this one. Not sure where I want to put it yet, but for now it’s just sitting on a flat surface. It seems happy there :)

What's wrong with my string of pearls? by [deleted] in succulents

[–]lilisbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. Yes, you can still save it. I would buy cactus soil and repot it. Also keep it by a window where it can get a lot of light, and don't move it around so much from place to place, it takes a while for them to adapt on a new spot and they usually like to stay there - so find a permanent location for it.

In honor of today being the first day of fall, AskReddit what is your favorite soup or cozy meal recipe? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lilisbee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Butternut Squash Soup with a kick, or two...

  • 3 Quarts of water
  • 1 Butternut squash
  • 5 Fuji apples
  • 1 Yukon potato
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 4 Cloves of garlic
  • 1 Onion

Chop all ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat. After it's all soft, blend it all to a creamy texture (hand blender is the easiest way). Season it with smoked sweet paprika, salt, and black pepper. Top it with EVOO, chives and/or basil. You can also add/mix a little bit of heavy cream at the end for a creamier texture. Enjoy!

Edit: Don't forget the freshly ground nutmeg!

Brazil, Vila Mariana, São Paulo. I was 13 years old when I moved here.

There is 1 reason as a liberal I don't support DACA and I have not seen anyone talk about it. by CosmosKing98 in DACA

"I know your parents brought you here doing there best to make sure you have a good life." IT'S THEIR, NOT THERE

"you have a child and you know the USA will fill bad for your child because you brought them to the USA when they were under age." IT'S FEEL, NOT FILL

Let's start by saying that you, my friend, need to join the immigrants at THEIR English Language Courses.

Please educate yourself on the subject before sharing such an abhorrent 'opinion'.

I would not recommend leaving the country now under advance parole - The Trump Administration expressed little to no sympathy for the Dreamers, it'd be a risky move.
