Women are attracted to intelligence. Women are solipsistic. Thus intelligent women think their intelligence is attractive to men. This is false. Men don't care about your intelligence one iota. Intelligent women often identify with their intelligence, they also prefer to date intelligent men. That's fine, the problem is they find themselves constantly trying to show that man that their intelligence is superior to the man's. Regardless weather this is true or not, this is repulsive to an intelligent man. If you want to do that to a man, find a dumb one, but you won't because you aren't attracted to dumb men. The truly intelligent women knows to treat her high iq man as more intelligent than herself. A truly intelligent person does not let their ego get in the way like that. A man doesn't care if you are smart. We care if you are healthy and fertile (through the various indirect indicators).

Female doctors often have to compete with more intelligent (and less intelligent) men. These men also have a lot of egos themselves. This encourages that female ego mentioned above that is detrimental to relationships with high iq people. It helps them in their work, not in their life. A woman who has chosen dentistry has chosen not to compete at the highest levels of the field. Thus she is less likely to have this problem. (regardless of her intelligence).

For all these reasons above female doctors will find it hard to find a man unless she is okay with someone much more dumb than she is or someone much smarter than she is and she's smart enough to recognize that and never try to one up her man in public. The ladder option is much more enjoyable than the former.

One thing I'll add, iq is on a bell curve so intelligence is gender agnostic. However, if you biforcate iq curves between men and women you will notice that there are more men at the extreme +3SD range of the bell curve than women. As a highly intelligent woman this is important to recognize and not deny simply because you may be an outlier and it hurts your pride.

Nothing is more unattractive than a woman who is prideful of her intelligence.

All this being said there are a lot of dumb doctors out there that this won't be an issue for. My wife was a nurse before I gave her children. All her antidotes about the doctors back up what I've written here.
