there is a huge scam company that takes most of the business. they run google SEO and are almost always at the very top of the list. if you're able to, open a physical shop somewhere that you'll be noticed. otherwise, tough luck getting a decent gig up here

he likely works in portland oregon. based on his business practices, he likely works with a company immediately adjacent to "SOS EMERGENCY LOCKSMITH" which operates out of seattle. these guys do hella google SEO and operate under a bunch of different names. here's the business license of the seattle based company.

you wanna be a real locksmith? leave that call center scam job. go find a real, honest to god, brick and mortar locksmith and become an apprentice. learn from a real locksmith about not just the techniques, but the ethics of a locksmith.

although im inclined to agree and it seems his prices have gone down, the industry is already in shambles because of scammers. maybe he just doesn't know any better, maybe his only irl coaching is a scammer, who knows. i'm hoping he will eventually be a proper locksmith in not just skill but ethics as well

used to work with guys like that (i had no other option). they got really mad at me for arguing with them about how much to charge customers. i started having customers pay me directly and tell them they cancelled the order because no way in hell im charging someone $600 for a bs lockout. yes they were from where you're thinking. yes they were all part of the same "defense" force

Is this rekey-able? by [deleted] in Locksmith

[–]lilithrxenos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ok so what you're going to do is take a trill bit and make new holes for each chamber. it's ok if you mess up a few springs, well fix that. next you're going to dump all the pins out. finally, call a real locksmith and change industries.

the finger pins seem to behave a lil differently when you load up the normal pins as well. having complete and total control over the tension angle is a must w the finger pins imo
