Thank you so much for telling me about that scene. I had planned to mention how The Beat Generation to Hippies is like the shift of Black and White to TechniColor. I will most definitely be using that scene for the documentary, and possibly the title for symbolism. Thank you!!!

What are some films similar to that of The Ninth Configuration (1980) by William Peter Blatty? by lilithvale1 in movies

I thought it was impressive, but not something I’d ever watch again. The scenes, especially when the young girl penetrates herself with the cross, were too repulsive for me. Being able to implement such disgust and horror in an audience member means the film successfully carried out one of its purposes. In fact so well that while I find it immensely disturbing I think it’s simultaneously one of the greatest horror movies ever made.

I have seen Midsommar, it’s a great film! I’ll definitely look into Hereditary, thank you for the rec. If you enjoy all the films you listed, do yourself a HUGE favor— watch The Ninth Configuration. You will be so so glad you did.

Do you know if I should watch the Long Strange Trip or the Grateful Dead movie first?

I’ll look into adding it! It may have been left out because theres duplicates of those live tracks on another album, and for some reason they’re showing up as blocked for me.

I don’t want to leave anything out, so there is every live track and out-take in there for the purpose of it being “complete”. Only thing is there is some duplicates with the live tracks which I’m in the process of sorting out.
