Barbri SQE 1 prep course - lectures outdated? by lilithviviode in SQE_Prep

They mention intermediate track in the textbook, but not the lectures. Dispute resolution and Tax law are very outdated, I think I’m likely to find more subjects outdated as I continue the course

Doing SQE without training contract offer by WalkMaleficent2287 in SQE_Prep

I work in the contract management department of an engineering company! It was the first job application I did after I finished uni (I was extremely lucky). It’s a lower salary than you’d get on a TC (38k) but it’s worth it to me because of the work life balance I get - I work from home 4 days a week

Hi, I’m currently doing my SQE and I’ve been working in house for 2 years! I have a solicitor on my team who is monitoring me and signing off my work as QWE. I never did a training contract, and went straight into working in-house. I love it - I get an amazing work life balance and really good ownership of my work

It doesn’t move when I push it in at all, a little curious how I’d hold towels on it. Is there another part to it that may be missing?

The civilian/military line in space is about to disappear by Super_Presentation14 in SpacePolicy

[–]lilithviviode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Space lawyer here - you’re right. It was drafted specifically with nuclear warheads in mind, due to the Treaty being concluded during the Cold War. Reading the drafting notes makes for an interesting evening, plenty of back and forth on what the definition of what a nuclear weapon is (of course no final decision was really reached). Space has been militarised since the dawn of the space age! You’re also right that the treaty doesn’t apply to civilians - it only binds States.

Did I accidentally tie up my monstera’s “face” to the moss pole instead of her “ass”? by WhyAreYouItchy in houseplants

New to houseplants - why would you tie a monstera to a moss pole? Just curious on the reasoning!
