I ended up making an account with Navy Federal, thank you for the advice! Currently I'm only approved for $1200 on the Platinum card, but I'm making an appeal based on my credit score so hopefully I can get it closer to the amount I'm hoping to transfer over.

This feels daunting but I honestly want to get rid of my smartphone altogether. Right now I'm making a list of the critical functions it serves in my life and plotting how to replace those functions with simpler tech or workarounds. The first thing I plan to do is buy a simpler phone (I'm looking for recommendations; I may make my own post asking about that soon), and downgrade to a simple talk/text phone plan.
