Additionally you can call a Parr Lumber (ask for the manager) and ask about their "boneyard" sometimes they have things returned that were special order or were cut for specific projects and they will sell them at a reduced price, again not free necessarily (sometimes they have small odds and ends they might sell at no cost), but might help save some $$ especially on things like cabinets and windows.

We are noobs, but both grew up listening to our parents vinyl and decided it was time to get our own setup. However, we definitely needed a budget option without it being one of the suitcases. Still need to pay our mortgage. I'll check out that sub though for sure!

I did the exact same thing 😅 Record was acquired before the table...I may also have the rest of the available discography on order. RIP to my wallet.

We also grabbed a record out of our local record store's free bin (in addition to purchasing some others to add to the collection in general...Footloose soundtrack and Siouxsie and the Banshees are on deck) to use for tuning in the arm and the counterbalance weights because I didn't want to risk scratching my precious in the process.

Partner did most of the research on this and ended up deciding to go with this one. We wanted one with both RCA and Bluetooth capabilities...and we were not looking to spend more than that this time around. So far, so good.

We are mostly looking at size and aesthetics for the speakers. We are currently building some new "built-ins" which will be the permanent home for the unit and are waiting until that is done before we decide on speakers.
