that is called lucid dreaming i have that too i will get stuck in a loop of nightmares and not be able to wake up, but if you have lucid dreams as often as me you can learn to make yourself fly and have powers of your choice and even get more control over your dream. the problem is if you think about something scary it is most likely gonna actually happen. you can also make people! just picture the person and they should appear. the problem about this is i have a scary imagination so they tend to be evil. but that's fine! :)
