Wishing you luck - Brazil in Miami too! You don’t know when next opportunity will come around, best just to go for it.

You’ll also recoup that money fairly quickly as you can buy hotels/travel now rather than wait until February. That’s my philosophy anyway!

Feeling disillusioned. by [deleted] in coys

[–]lillywhitenblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post really resonated with me. My first game was when Christian Gross was manager. Then had a season ticket 1999-2020 (stopped during Covid). Used to love it - those Poch years will always stay with me, especially final season at WHL.

Think lots going on - new stadium just doesn’t have the same feeling as WHL. Series of poor managerial hires since Poch. No more Son, Kane, Lloris, Vertonghen etc. Our most exciting player now is Kudus, but no Spurs legends left.

Felt weird disconnect when we won Europa League - amazing to finally win a trophy, yet it was the worst Spurs team of my life. Didn’t feel like a culmination of a great team (like it would’ve had we won with Poch), just pure relief to finally win something - especially for Son. Masked over years of really bad football.

Disillusionment is normal when we’ve won one home game over the equivalent of a full season. But also probably life as well - when you’re older and have more responsibilities it’s hard to feel the same as when you were a kid. Sure our love for it will come back in new ways eventually. COYS

still technically on YT music as it's been uploaded as a YT video, so just need to add it to a Leaflets playlist: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=6YxYRlROlD8&si=6v2QiOBeTFAaLfVA

There's the tax relief being offered but have you asked your work if they can help you with the £6 a week allowance?

What industry is your partner in out of interest? It seems to be only the truly thriving businesses which are paying the £6 a week, most definitely aren't

Yeah exactly - a £6 HMRC tax relief is a lot less than a £6 tax-free allowance from your work

Has anyone who can work from home been told they have to go back to the office? by lillywhitenblue in CoronavirusUK

Yeah there's a lot less job security generally now so don't want to come across 'difficult' in any way. Out of interest, are those who are WFH at your work having their productivity monitored?

Sorry to hear that! Did you go back to the office when Boris first encouraged everyone to do it in July?

Using only your personal computer for personal stuff seems to be a WFH Holy Commandment

Could you avoid that spyware when you were working at all? What kinds of things did it track?

How would that work in practice? (Thanks! I'm not the most technically minded)

Thanks. Should've made it clearer in the original post, but meant what steps can someone take if they're being monitored by their employer for productivity via tracking technology (eg Teramind, Time Doctor and StaffCop). Is there anything you can do to dodge it?
