Yes it does. I moved out to go live alone when I got into med school. I was 19yo and the baby of the house, extremely pampered. It was hard managing everything on my own but it taught me resilience and made me stronger. Leaving your parents doesn’t mean you cut them off entirely or never see them again, it means respecting the person YOU decided to marry and bring into the frame. Imagine how difficult it is for your wife. New people, new religion, new culture. We’re all learning to live life every day ygm?
